Because of higher production cost (rare anodisation color) cobalt blue S2+ will cost ~32$

There might be some truth to that. I’d be fine paying a bit more than the regular S2+ though.

So a couple days ago I pleaded one more time for the blue S2. I told Simon that while I realize he doesn’t have much time to visit BLF these days there is still a lot of talk about a blue S2. Well this morning I had a response from him. His exact words were “ok ,I decide to produce blue S2“. :bigsmile: Persistence pays off! Well unless he comes back and says it can’t be done that is. I doubt it though. Simon hasn’t let me down yet. It probably doesn’t hurt that I’ve ordered over 200 flashlights from him in the last few months LOL! I don’t have any word on when they will be available but if he responds back with more information I’ll share it here or just start a new post with blue S2 in the title. Unless he wants to make the official announcement of course. At the very least it seems our chances are better today than they were yesterday.

It’s easy to get turned-off by too much bling.
Here’s three finishes compared and contrasted.
Bottom: Natural Aluminum. Middle: The real red S2+. Top: A Solarforce stripped and Cu plated and then chrome plated.
I kinda like the natural Al for its utilitarian look, but blue would sure be pretty!

Ha! ToyKeeper I’m obviously joking. I will share the info here even if I start a new thread and that’s of course is if Simon doesn’t want to do it himself. BLF is an awesome community of helpful people. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to contribute as much as you and many others here have helped me but I’ll certainly do what I can. Simon and I are exactly 12 hours different in time zone so most of our communications are a day apart since he’s probably sleeping when I’m emailing him and vice versa. As soon as I get any word I’ll post it here. Love your work!

DANG I bugged poor Simon about making some Blue,grey-green, Khaki and army green color before too .
