Most of the lights were a big bulk order for the company I work for. Simon is quite obviously not as money driven as most businessmen considering the quality per dollar offered by the Convoy line. Itās unmatched in my opinion. My collection is still quite small (around 20 I think) compared to many here. Iād been talking to him before and after that big order about more color options for the S2. Iām sure the big order didnāt hurt but I think it was telling him that lots of people on BLF were still talking about a blue S2 that won him over. I donāt think he has time to see whatās going on here these days. If it actually happens I will be thrilled if anything I did helped influence him to make this happen for all of us. I bought the red S2+ for my wife a few months back and the whole family was impressed. Considering the look and feel of the light itself with that gorgeous switch and the presentation with such beautiful packaging Simon really outdid himself with this one.
I really dig the red S2+ and the steel S7. The S3 is cool too, but a bit hard to work with due to using an integrated shelf instead of a pill. And the S4 looks great with its head cutouts showing the reflector fins, but itās a little impractical.
I think a blue S2+ with the metal switch would sell well, especially if it were to come with an extra pill or spacer sized for a triple emitter. I donāt have a blue light yetā¦
We need to bug Simon into making a Convoy L2 replacement. Updated with a larger head and with a op reflector.
Why he decided to quit making the Convoy L2, I donāt know. All I want to know is why stop making one of your most popular lights? It doesnāt make sense. :quest:
Maybe he didnāt have much earning on it so he focused on light that bring more cash!
I am begging him to make remote switch (for hunting) for C8 last 5-6 months and the only thing he did is to check the price for coiled cable!
So, sit back and relax, blue S2+ wont be here any time soon.
Ha! Ha! Jubeldum we talked of a BRING THEM BACK thread, the L2 is at the top of our list! Specially for the new to the scene people that never got the chance to get one before they went away? I would like to see Convoy make larger lightās especially with their quality!!! BRING the L2 BACK PLEASE!!!
I have spoken with Simon many times about adding certain things. He needs quantity in advance to give us pricing we are accustomed to. At the same time, if someone wants to make a certain GB and the hosts are available...he may entertain the idea of making limited runs.
All someone has to do is email him via Ali and ask.
Ok, so Iām not happy at the moment. Iāve placed an order for $522.86 with Simon. The following items were not in the parcel:
10 x C8 Hosts [$123.55]
4 x M2 Hosts [$72.64]
2 x S2 Hosts [$20.66]
Thats a total worth $216.85!
Iāve unfortunately only realized this now, 4 weeks after the parcel was delivered. Iām situated in South Africa and have a mailbox in the US. Iām now at the point of consolidating many parcels delivered over the past 2 months, of which the above was delivered 8 June 2015. During the consolidation process photos are taken of each packageās contents, this is when Iāve realized the above issue.
Iāve sent Simon a message about this. How do I prove to Simon the items were not in my parcel!
Iām NOT happy and I really hope Simon will refund me for this amount. Damn, this is frustratingā¦
Same exact thing happened to me, I have lost 2 packages in this month due to āzip code changesā. They appear delivered but perhaps to the wrong address, or were returned. No one knows where my package is.
Perhaps it was shipped in two packages since it was a big order and the second package is lost. Was there a packing slip / list of contents in the box?
The order was shipped in 2 packages, 1 for batteries which I received complete, rest in other package, which was incomplete. I have not heard anything from Simon yet. I cannot accept loosing this amount.
The post office likes to scan items as ādeliveredā in groups not always when itās actually delivered. Should be illegal to do that imho. Iāve had packages marked ādeliveredā that never were.
