It's not the same framing, and if you look at the Trustfire X8 you can see that X9 appears under driven.

The main issue is that we do not know the photo information of the pictures as they have stripped the EXIF. The "Sky Glow" of the SR4300 is brighter, but that could also be due to the presence of more clouds. But if you look at the spill of the SR4300, it is as bright as the spill of the TK70. That is pretty unlikely.

But if you look at the hotspot size, it certainly is a bit tighter than the usual lights. Also, the tilt of the hotspot is on the ground.

Too many variables that could make a difference and they are not standardised.

It's still good info. At least now we can see that the hotspot size indeed is a bit tighter than the regular lights, due to the slightly bigger diameter of the head (67mm, same as RRT-3). Info on the 850 is pretty scarce.

The $67 + $2 tracking price doesn't help it. If you are a regular and you tag it to another light's shipment, you can get the DRY CW for the same price actually. And we know that the DRY throws as well as the RRT-3 just by sheer power even though it's a 57mm head. (~ 30k cd)

If anyone has the dough to try, you can rip out the 850 driver and put in the DRY LMH-Turbo, i have 4 spare 3-mode DD drivers. Would be interesting! Same issue, too much $$$ for the 850!

Another problem with the beamshots is that the lights don't point at the same direction; it slightly differs. Especially the 3XT6-850 seems to point too low.

However, regarding throw I guess X9 > X8 > A0,
TK70 > all other,
SR 3xT6 818 > TR 3T6,
Z5 quite low.

They are not pointed in the same spot, As I said before X9 looks underdriven. Maybe a not so lucky driver?

Questions: Same batteries have been used when testing? Same Voltages?

Found these... seems like I really gotta buy FandyFire STL-V6/Sky Ray STL-V2 :~ EDIT: Went nuts and ordered FandyFire STL-V6, will be my last flashlight... maybe ;)

EDIT2: F*ck, backordered -> canceled order -> waiting for refund... and hopefully if getting money back will order Sky Ray STL-V2 from manafont.

Do you know the distance to the house?

If you look at this image at full resolution, you can see that the 501B's hotspot is directed somewhere in close range, not like the SkyRays. I guess because the hotspot is larger it also reaches the house very slightly.

If I understood google translate correctly it should be about 150 meters away (to me looks like little more than that) and the hill where picture was taken is 20 meters higher than house.

Probably it was taken with a short focal length lens, so that's making objects in a distance appear farther than they are. Probably...

I did a Pythagorean calculation on that, it should be 151 meters from that point on the hill to the house, so 20 meters elevation doesn't change the distance that much in this case. All numbers are theoretic.

The Skyray 4300 looks less throwy than the 3800. Maybe just a little?
