New Miller ML-105 V1.0 & updated ML-202?

oh nice, hopefully FT gets it soon :D They've had a very successful run with the Miller chargers and I wouldn't be surprised if they get them.

Interesting. I'll wait for the ML-106, being able to use it as a power bank is useful when carried in a backpack.

I’m ordering a ML-202… If it’s really as good as it promises then this is definitely the best power bank/charger combo available. So far none of my power banks are able to match my ML-102 V7 and V8 in terms of efficiency: 125% charge to an iPhone 6 from a Panasonic B.

Also most power banks do not offer correct charging method to the batteries, they jump to CV way too early (some as early as 3.9V) in order to make it “safer”, but this also means a much longer charging time. And some other power bank overcharges the cell to ~4.22V which is worse.

The ml-105 is available on ebay… More than 8 dollars free shipping

:~
ehm…so, which model is a power bank for sure (and not only a charger) ?

ML105 is just a USB battery charger.
ML106 is the same as 105 with added power bank function, but it’s not released yet.
ML202 is a dual 18650 version with all the functions of above models.

Notice in the 105 there is a rectangular plastic cover, it’s for the USB output port in the 106.

Thank you very much for info!
Will wait for the 106….

Does the ML202 charge individually? So I can use different batteries?

EDIT: It has twin TP4506 on board so - yes you can use different batteries!

The old ML202 has twin TP4506, the new one has SY6952B.

Google translate tells me:

Oh I missed that part… I tried to order these some weeks ago but there was a problem with my AE account, I contacted Simon directly to pay him via PP.

Miller ML-202 is here! I got it from Simon convoy aliexpress store.

First look:
-V4.0 marked on the back of the PCB.
-Won’t fit protected cells or even button tops. Only works with flat tops.
-Construction is on par with other miller products (very good). Solid feel with the battery cover on.
-Both channels appear to be independent for both charging and discharging. Left 2 cells with 0.5V difference overnight and remained the same.
-With a battery in place a blue LED will always stay on and turns brighter when a USB device is connected.
-USB output is automatic and very sensitive, even a usb power meter will activate it.
-Fully charged cells measures 4.17v and 4.18v.
–3 LEDs each side: red for charging, green for charge completion and blue for usb outout.

Further testing required:
-USB output can be used while charging but it doesn’t seem like a bypass, applying 1A load only increased 0.1-0.3A to the current draw (1.9A max). But anyways no standard USB port will provide more than that.
-Charging: quick test shows 1 cell draws 1.02A, charging 2 cells draws 1.67A.
-Solar charger compatibility, will it charge across a wide voltage range, 4.2-5.2v? Will report back after testing.

Only works with flat tops:

Compared to a Xiaomi 10,000 power bank:

Appears to be two independent channels, someone more experienced with these components please confirm?

Nothing on the back:

With 1 cell in place it draws 1.0mA when in standby. This is a very low discharge but will still deplete the battery in a couple of months.

With 2 cells in place it draws 0.4mA each side when in standby.

Output with 2 cells:

Removed one cell but output remained steady, no flicker no nothing. Impressive!

Thanks for the news and great info will34. Looks promising. Hoping HJK will be provided one of these to do his awesome testing on.

I got mine from the same seller now as will34. Works wonderfully. Much faster charging than my new ENB double powerbank (not the one HJK has tested). Love the separate indicator LEDs for both batteries.

Who else carry the ml-202?

Hello, please Can anybody tell me, if ML106 can be used as UPS? I didn´t find any info about that. Thanks so much!

Yes it can be used as a powerbank… 106 has the added Usb output function as compared to the 105.

I mean UPS, i know it can be used as powerbank, but i need it as UPS (Uninterruptible power supply) I have ML 202 on the way, but i need some cheaper UPS just for one router. Thanks

I think i will get the miller ml 202 & the ml 106 then just see which I like better. I want to use it while traveling so my batteries stay charged & my phone as well. Does anyone know if there is a cigarette lighter adapter option to charge while in the car?

Just use a usb car adapter and connect the charger to it.
