Test / Review: Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mAh (Green)

here you are http://www.aliexpress.com/item/10pcs-lot-3-6V-3400mAh-Original-for-sanyo-NCR18650BF-rechargeable-Battery-18650-3400-mah-batteries/32380122609.html

BTW Ali E. has a good protection plan and if these prove to be fakes you will get your money back
so

i also have 2 Liitokala lii-500 on the way that measure the real mAh rating its the 1st thing i will do when they come BTW lii 500 is LE$$ THEN $24

BTW while i am newish to 18650 (only about 3 years) i am a long time purchasing agent and i find low prices
one possible reason is that with the newly released NCR18650GA @ 3500mAh the now old are being dumped in favor of the new

BTW there are ALWAYS DEALS (past now over deal sadly i only ordered 12pcs)
Panasonic 3.6 Volt 18650 Battery 3400 mAh-4pc for $16.99

but for now here is the lowe$t i find them for
10pcs http://www.aliexpress.com/item/10pcs-lot-3-6V-3400mAh-Original-for-sanyo-NCR18650BF-rechargeable-Battery-18650-3400-mah-batteries/32380122609.html

what i ordered 2 weeks ago if you would like i would be more then happy to let you know if they are real once i get the cells and the lii 500 charger

so please i am a Purchasing Agent of 25 years and low prices are what i do

Show us better prices (NCR18650BF vs NCR18650B) in quantities of 1 or 2 cells, not 10.

I am sorry if I am judging too soon but it looks to me like you work for that shop!
Anyway those prices are lowest I saw and that makes this cells a bit suspicious to me,
BG or GB or FT sales thousands and thousands of this cells (so they should have lowest
possible price) opposite to this seller that only has 159 sold items.

…waiting for your capacity test…

get in line

i posted 2 different stores

i agree this is the 1st time i am buying a BRAND name item made in Japan from China

i will be glad to post my finding when everything comes (could be weeks) BTW that amazing amazon deal i got must be all real ones in my use the NCR18650B @ 3400mAh really last 2x as long as the used laptop pulls of 2200mAh to 2600mAh used Sony Samsung LG and Sanyos

BTW i have about a 75% success rate with Ali about 15% the cheap stuff i buy is just that too cheap
and at least 10% are total lairs cheats and worse but all in all i do on with Ali E
and i never lost a claim yet and i usually get to keep the junk 1 time i needed to return the items (the LED lights i bought were very YELLOW and not Warm White

Thanks HKJ for yet another excellent battery review, I missed reading this one when it was first published.

I treat your reviews and comparison charts as THE source of data I use to make battery purchases. Keep up the good work, it’s well appreciated.

I don’t know if anyone had said it but, welcome to BLF.

Marc

Me too

thank you
as a Purchasing Agent i have a different way of looking at things and i know that it can ruffle some feathers

how about 4pcs for $20

i did my testing with brand new Sanyo NCR18650BF

to start with all of the NCR18650BF have a charge of 3.66v

i am doing a long “NORM” test of the cells if i understand the ENGRISH instructions this mode charges discharges and then charges to give me the full mAh rating (i know that Li-ion do not need to be conditioned RIGHT??)
it also have a “FAST” testing mode

i am doing
1 300mAh 15mR 1 500mAh 16mR
1 700mAh 16mR 1 1000mAh 17mR & at 4.00v the mR was 15 it went from 3.66v - 4.24v in 1:40min and now its discharging

all 4 together are pulling only 16w on my power meter (seems like not a lot 2 cells in my i4 use 10w
OH and all the NCR18650BF have a mR (internal resistance aka iR) of 15-17

the charger and the 1000mAh 700mAh cells get warm but so does my Nitecore i4

so far the only thing i really do not like is that the Liitokala lii-500 charger while its got a great BIG screen it can only display info on 1 battery at a time there is no indication that bank #2 is done if its displaying another bank

thank you
poster

their site seems broken cannot search cannot make account
if you can handle 8pcs here is a better deal

6.75 each is a dollar more.

the sale just ended they were $5.40 each
to each there own i prefer the NCR18650BF and get those for ~$3.86 for 20pcs
BTW the NCR18650BF are better then the NCR18650B

Robert.jones from Italy shilling for soondeal :D?

I doubt he's from Italy, but most of his posts are obvious soondeal spam.

He has a total of 11 posts, and 6 of them are unpublished (deleted).

Not a very good record. ;)

You can also get 3xNCR18650BF inside xiaomi 10000mah powerbank which after 10% off using Banggood mobile app costs only 10,8$. That is If you dont mind the extra aluminium casing, quality USB charging/discharging circuit and breaking apart solder tabs.

My 3400mAh Panasonics NCR18650B batteries (8 of them) arrived yesterday, first thing I did is charge them at 200mAh, with my Opus BT-C3100 v2.2
They charged up to 4.18V or 4.19V and each battery only took in 2000mAh of power.
Could the batteries already been somewhat charged from the factory?
Or do they need to be discharged and recharged a few times to be able to hold 3400mAh?

Normally batteries are shipped at storage voltage of around 3.6 to 3.9 voltage.
You need to run charge and discharge test on your Opus charger

Usually they are kind of precharged. It should not be necessary to cycle them.

Are these still the best 18650 you can buy?
