MT-G2 Thrunite T10T Ti "Micro Sunbeam"

Simply WOW. Or should that be WOW?

Wow! Awesome job! Can you also mention what optic fits R
The brass 18650?

Oh forgot to put, the cells used are IMR 14250 300mah cells, pretty much the best you can use, you can get them from MTN Electronics

The brass 18650 should take any standard 20mm TIR optic, I used mine from fasttech

Really? This is the tiny brass beauty? Does it for with lens? I think when I tried it was too short inside because the optic was too long.

Emm… I’m talking about this brass 18650…

Yep. I have that one. Does it fit the optic and stock lens? I think the optic was too long for me but am unsure.

Yeah it fits, i’m not sure which one i used as the light is not with me now… the battery is a little tight though

Wow. really nice modding

Very impressive

How do you like the tint? I love how you managed to shoe horn a Qlite circuit in there. I’ll have to try that.

Thanks for indulging my off topic questions before!

Sweet !

It helped a lot that I could find images such as on this thread by rufusbduck -Forward voltage of- -ZLLS410- S4 diode. Edited- This is NOT a Zener mod

The image clearly showed where I could cut and not, and I realised I should have probably just gone with a 11mm FET driver… much easier and more powerful

Was it hard to get the old driver out? How big was the driver? Does it have a separate contact board? Do you have any pictures of that stage of the mod?

The old driver is two stack with a contact board… see pics… , quite small, to get the driver out, I just poked a stainless steel tweezers from the top (after desoldering the star), with a medium press, it just popped out

Forgot to mention, I created a separate contact board by filing a partition board down to size and soldering the leads to the board

I can't either, seems like they do not show on android devices..

Ok, images re-uploaded on another server, my host changed the nameserver ip itself, hence the rest of the world has not propagated yet

Jay, pictures are there!

Great mod. And my favorite type: get small lights do amazing things!

FET driver has arrived, insulating of the driver is needed as it is floating in the head, was able to wire the driver in without taking out the led

Being flashed with the guppydrv firmware, the light is able to use one of 22 mode groups, for this light, I have set it to 100 - 25 - 2 without memory

Light is now totally usable and practical is now my daily EDC
