Xiaomi powerbank16000 dissassembled

Same color, I will check (I have the 26 F M batteries), but they are totally unmarked. And then my test will show max 2600mAh = 13.000mAh.
But if it’s samsung 26F, it’s not so bad deal. But of course, how safe to use it? With that small PCB board compared to the real ones. No safety there I bet.

Any cell can “look like” a 26F: https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10012801/2157400-18650-battery-sleeve-pvc-heat-shrinkable-tubing

The OP did not receive a counterfeit - he received a defect. The girlfriend has the earlier version of this and she loves it!

That genuine samsung wrapp really scares :) But I got lot of genuine ones from FT and they are probably the best bang for buck... Why would anyone buying xxx fire cell when they can get genuine samsung?

The color matched perfectly. So maybe some B or C grade Samsung batteries then?

I was referring to this is yet another fake product I have got the last week. Not to the OP. But instead of opening my own thread I used this one, since they had tore down their power banks also, so we had pictures of the real deal, and mine, that is not real.

Where did you purchase yours from?

Not yet, I’m waiting for a package with that hopefully this week.

LOL, the batteries is NOT Samsung 26F - they have only around 1000mAh on them. So the actual total mAh of the “16.000mAh” power bank is around 5000mAh.

I did some research prior to ordering from AMAZON.COM. When the package arrived, I immediately knew it was fake. The power cord had Mi printed on it, the box did not have the scratch off symbol, the LED lights, and all of the symptoms already listed above. I was very upset!
After receiving credit for it, and Amazon not wanting it back, I decided to open it. I popped off the plastic end, and no screws. The entire guts just pushed right out. The batteries in mine had 2000 mAh printed on them. This made the 16000 mAh powerbank into a 10000 mAh powerbank. The batteries are garbage, the circuit board, if that is what one would call it was even more garbage. And to top it all off, it wouldn’t even work. The power cord broke off inside the USB outlet.
Needless to say, I wasn’t very impressed. I will try and buy again from Xiaomi direct or maybe Bangood. I wojld prefer the 4.35v 3200 mAh cells in mine. I will see if I can post photos.

myhken, and how much did you pay for each of this 16.000mAh power banks?
You could also put a link to seller so everione woud avoid it.

BTW, aliexpess is know source of fake Xiaomi products (among others)…

+1 Put bad seller on blacklist.

The seller is: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/1763614
They was on “sale” 50% = around $12/pcs. They had 200 orders and 100% happy customer on that product. So I was sure this was legit…but no.

I paid $26/pcs on Gearbest.com, and for once I got a real product from them.

Just as I predicted. I am always amazed how people manage to screw themselves by hooking up on this “to good to be true” deals. That price screams “I Am fake” from miles away, It is LITERALLY impossible for such product to cost only 12$ and be genuine at the same time.
Also you are looking at the seller’s/product score completely wrong:
yes, by now there are 214 suckers that ordered this product but if you look closely there are only 4 buyers that left written feedback for this product so those 100% are actually from 4 customers not from 214.

Reading a customer’s feedback is the first thing you do if you want to know about the quality of actual product that people received because pictures can show anything and everything but you need to keep in mind that most of the buyers were lazy to educate themselves about the product and/or just dont know how to spot the fake product and will probably never suspect that the product is fake.
Based on this you can disregard all comments that sound like : “excellent product”.

Anyway, let’s get back to this particular case, If you read those 4 feedbacks you will see that one of them doesn’t have a clue what he ordered, russian guy - I have no clue what he said and other two confirmed that this is not original product:

Other 200 and something buyers still didn’t receive their orders or just didn’t let the feedback yet…

I know that the dream of every trader is to buy cheap and sale expensive but to be successful at than you really really have to master the knowledge, so my recommendation to you would be to stay away of cheap products and “to good to be true” offerings.

Maybe they have changed the description but I cannot see that they claim it is a Xiaomi power bank

Direct link to product

Edit: Except in the link itself :~

They have changed the listings. Lucky for me, Aliexpress save the listings that was active when I did buy the product.

Thats a nice feature! Sometimes I make screenshots, just in case
