Should it not be 1120L at the LED?
No, XM-L T6 Cannot get past 1000L
It get's 1000L @ 4.2A
Maybe in Cree's lab @ 0 Celsius with the best samples of T6 it can do better, but that's not real life anymore.
here is the beamshots of BC40, X9 (ebay) and modded X9 with KD driver
kd driver = shits bright lol..
What should I do to see the pictures in post #221? Right click and Show Picture doesn't help.
No photos on post 221
I dislike imageshack. lol It takes too much time.
So you have two X9's Krikstas? You happen to have the tailcap readings on both?
THat driver mod looks impressive! Anyone make a driver swap tutorial for the X9 yet? ;)
BC40
Ebay X9 #1
ebay x9 #2 after KD driver mod
thanks fishmaniac for help
Tailcap readings:
X9 ebay 1.5 A
X9 KD 2.7
Are you sure those are two different X9? Man you sure are fast, both photos taken within the same seconds of 26th minute of 19 PM. And an exact perfect match on the hotspot? Looks like it's medium then high on the same X9. Great job I guess.
well i am sure they are different :) difference is 16 sec maybe it looks fast on paper but in reality it was quite normal
This is the driver you want for the X9:
I have used these with great success with other single cell XML's.
http://kaidomain.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductId=10995
Provides a well regulated 2.8A on high and the driver can be set for three modes (H,M,L) or other modes too if you can't live without the strobes etc.
This is what I intend to put in my X9.
Have fun all..
Is there a link to the 3 mode mod for this driver ?
It's here:

You can leave the PCB connection of the leftmost star in place. The connection of any other star will take precedence.
Thanks
Has anyone measured 2.8A using the Nanjg 105c (8xAMC7135) driver?
I see someone got 2.7A.
I just tested to make sure, and yes, I get 2.805 amps.

Nice! Standard leads?
I was curious because some have got 2.6A from this driver.
But then everybody has all kind of DMMs and use standard or custom leads.
My lead aren't standard. I use leads that have banana clips on the ends. The wire isn't particularly thick (maybe 16-18ga.) and they are 1m long.
EDIT: I just measured with the stock leads and could barely hit 2.0A.
Further EDIT: I have 2 DMMs, and if I test the resistance of one DMM with the other I get between 0.0 and 0.1 ohm with the banana clip leads and 0.5 ohms with the stock leads.

Wow, that's one huge difference. From 2.805 to 2.0
Thanks for testing.
I tried my X9 with 2X16340 and burned both driver and led. So, because i couldn't find a replacemend led with 32mm board, i sticked an XML with smaller board to the back side of the original 32mm led board.
Also changed driver with KD driver:
Please forgive me due to bad pictures taken by my cell phone :) . Because i don't have a good camera, i couldn't put a picture of throw but, i will show you the picture taken from googleearth which shows the most far distance that my eyes can notice:
And this distance with demaged reflector surface. I dont know what happened to the surface. Is it possible because of too much heat dissipated from led?
How does this light compare to the fandyfire stl v6?
Can it use 1 18650 just like the trustfire x8? (EDITED: i wrote 18500)
