BLF or not....someone needs to tell CPF to get on this wagon. We and they all know for a fact that they cannot get hosts for this kind of dough and this style has never been made out of SS or Cu.

After all...we ALL like lights!

I posted this message at CPF about the BLF-348 group buy that BLF member _the_ is putting together. Got not a single reply. The only response you will find there is a bump from me!

Perhaps the BLF X6-SE v2, the BLF Manker A6, or the BLF LuckySun D80-SE would be more enticing.

Do you think the 14500 lights will also function in lesser capacity with AA?

Nope, we don’t have any suitable boost drivers. However, you could get or make a boost driver and swap it out.

With an AA battery, the light won’t even turn on. That’s not enough voltage to power up the driver, much less the LED.

With a 14500 cell, it should be able to pump out as much light as the cell can handle. I’m not sure how much this will be, but I’d guess about 1000 lumens with a decent cell.

Edit: 5A tint would be preferred. But anything 3+A/D will be fine, 80+ CRI would be awesome,
B/C sometimes gives greenish tints.

Another question for the 14500 version: is it going to have one of the common (Omten) switches?

I ask this because I have several small diameter lights with switches that carry the current through the internal switch spring (which adds to the resistance and the spring dies from too much current)
