KD HAIII BUCKLE V6 ?

I just received the 4-pack Buckle V6 for 20 bucks a set. ( $5 per light)
Great knurling, good anodizing finish, very smooth, greased, anodized threads, o-ring, AR coated glass lens, Cree XP-E emitter really good beam profile with good throw, ( with surprisingly good tint for a cool white) solid built, etc.
Great AAA light for only 5 bucks! I ordered another three sets for gifts and coat pockets.

+1 Great value small torch. I only have one and I am very pleased with the quality and performance for such a low priced item. The “BLF” coupon may still work too for a further 5% off.

Wow I’m surprised they’re still around…

Back in the days these were highly praised for their small size and high output, it was one of first cree lights I got.

They are out of black, but the “olive” is really silver. They may be out of production after they are bought up, the customer rep told me they would not be getting black back in stock as it was an “old” light…

EDIT: looks like you can get black as part of the set of four colors…

Just took a punt on two of these. I haven’t ordered from KD for a few years. The “blf” code for 5% off still works!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your supporting to KD.

Since the black color is not in stock, and this small light is built for sometimes ago. It is hard to build the black again. And this light is great and durable.

If you have any question, please feel free to contact me. Thanks

Your welcome.
i always had great service & purchases with KD. I’m curious however, i just placed another order for a couple more of the 4-set of these lights, are the black versions sold out in that offer too? (if they are a substitute with the silver or blue one is good.

Get it

We would replace Silver once for you.

Thanks for your understanding.

Has anyone managed to take one of these lights apart yet?

I’m working one to put a 219 in it.

It is of course glued, but it was pretty easy. I used my wise and a pliers. Of course som rubberspacer in the wise and a couple of rounds with tape. On my example there was a very small amount of glue.

The star is 8 mm and is glued on.

Just got mine in the last week, and am very pleased. Less than $5 for this? Wow!

Has anyone managed to do any cool mods or upgrades?

buckle mod

in the site search box (upper left corner of each page)

i modded a few of them to Nichia 219B emitters. great tint in a AAA pocket EDC.

I would like to turn one of mine into a joule thief…

I received one of these modded lights in a giveaway that DBSAR did not long ago.

I really like this light, very solid built, nice output with the mod, and really love the blue color (the light itsself, not the tint) it has.

Sounds like an excellent idea. I am yet to own a Nichia flashlight! I think it will come in handy using it at a braai (BBQ). Being new to this, I have a couple of questions I hope you can answer.

Can you help point me in the direction of where to order the emitter? Onto which “star” did you reflow it, was it the original one in the flashlight?

i re flowed the Nichia onto the original star from the Buckle V6. the Nichia emitters can be found from many suppliers, i got mine from Mountain Electronics i believe.
