Nope, we donât have any suitable boost drivers. However, you could get or make a boost driver and swap it out.
With an AA battery, the light wonât even turn on. Thatâs not enough voltage to power up the driver, much less the LED.
With a 14500 cell, it should be able to pump out as much light as the cell can handle. Iâm not sure how much this will be, but Iâd guess about 1000 lumens with a decent cell.
Iâve been busy as of late, and have not seen this thread before. Please Krono, put me down for 1 SS/Cu set in NW and 1 Al set in NW. That little copper K6 looks sooooo bitchen!! Wouldnât mind getting a few more of those little gems if they were sold individually.
My GF keeps telling me I donât need any more flashlightsâŚ
Never mind, time to think about christmas(for myself), +one SS/Cu set in NW
for me please!
Edit: 5A tint would be preferred. But anything 3+A/D will be fine, 80+ CRI would be awesome,
B/C sometimes gives greenish tints.
Another question for the 14500 version: is it going to have one of the common (Omten) switches?
I ask this because I have several small diameter lights with switches that carry the current through the internal switch spring (which adds to the resistance and the spring dies from too much current)
Fork CPF? Somehow I believe if we hand these over CPF guys they will just buy to collect and wonât truly appreciate all the hard work behind these lights.
Frankly, it does not matter. I could care less if they polished them and stored them in an air tight display case or even ran them over with trucks.
What I am after is numbers - and big numbers at that. You see I am very surprised that we have only hit 200 sets (400 lights). I actually thought we would see 4 to 5 times that amount, especially given the rare nature of the Stainless X6 and Copper K6-14500, even the Aluminum K6-14500, and how many people never got the X6-SE the last go around.
