BLF Kronos X6/X5 GB - Group Buy now closed.

F#%k CPF…

Fork CPF? :stuck_out_tongue: Somehow I believe if we hand these over CPF guys they will just buy to collect and won’t truly appreciate all the hard work behind these lights.

Frankly, it does not matter. I could care less if they polished them and stored them in an air tight display case or even ran them over with trucks.

What I am after is numbers - and big numbers at that. You see I am very surprised that we have only hit 200 sets (400 lights). I actually thought we would see 4 to 5 times that amount, especially given the rare nature of the Stainless X6 and Copper K6-14500, even the Aluminum K6-14500, and how many people never got the X6-SE the last go around.

Bugsy -Krono,

I’m not buying into the SS/CU set specifically because of the Stainless Steel X6.

I’m in for the AL set, but how about an AL/CU set also?

That, I could go for!

No extra tooling, just extra sales!

Thanks,
-Chuck

What he said.

I’d prefer that option too. The thermal properties of SS scare me a little.

Well, if we can work out the details, there’s still a chance of making the heat sink section out of copper on the stainless steel version. This way you’d get good thermal properties in addition to the nearly-indestructible steel body.

I can’t promise anything, but doing it that way would be pretty cool. Some lights already do this, like the Sinner Ti XC; can you imagine what it would be like to have this on the X6?

My bank account does fear that option, I should instantly go offline for at least half a year to avoid disaster…
But meh whatever. Lets see how this plays out.

I’ve posted a link to TLF a few hours ago since this GB was not mentioned there yet. I’d expect for a group of people to join in the next couple of days.

That would be the best of all solutions, stunning and practical.
You guys are going to have make it happen.

The only thing that would make that better is if the head was made to fit the 32mm triples without a spacer.

^ +1…

Will there be a spacer for the SS X6 to take a 32mm triple?

After looking at the photo in the first post closer, it is obviously Photoshoped. They still look good though.

Copper finned section on SS is the plan

Stainless and copper? Wow!!! If that could happen with Wight’s driver with your firm ware TK, that could be the best light of 2016!! Might be tough to pull off though. The possibility is making my head swim. Each group buy just keeps getting better and better. With cooperative manufacturers, the future is very bright indeed. My hat is off to all the people involved in the latest group buys, where we have input in the design since Krono’s first Eagle Eye X6-SE GB. One last thought though, these new style group buys are product projects which are going to take time to get to the finish line. They are NOT the old style group buys where you buy a preexisting light for cheap. These new style group buys are going to take time, if you want a light that is right. You can’t rush perfection. Cheers to the BLF teams who make this happen, and cheers to the manufacturers who work with us, and cheers to all the buyers whose money spins the gears!!!

Perhaps…on v3…perhaps

Maybe towards the end of this project, the XP-L Hi’s will be more readily available. Just saying

XP-L HI?

I’m sure that Olight has a Large order in, so Cree will just have to Make More… For US!

I hope…

This is the kind of option I’m hoping for too, if it works well to radiate the heat? Not exactly keen on a SS light running at such high A, I’ll probably be likely to burn up the LED…

The copper version is so awesome.
I’m wishing that the copper leftover (if any!) will be sold as host only.

Thanks. I just picked up some Windyfire 14500s and am anxious to put them to work. 1000 lumens from a light that size is obscene.

Just curious about AA more than anything.

BLF ROCKS!
