I agree, 5B1 seems to be the best balance of actual visibility, good color rendition to me. My de-domed 5B1 pushes it into the WW range, and the color may take a bit of getting used to, but I’ve noticed comparing to several other tints in NW range that it seems to be the best at low level distance illumination. I like being able to light something up in the distance softly without much glare and keep your night vision well and I can do that with my dedomed 5B1 light. Warmer and I seem to have to pump out the lumens for the same level of detail and cooler is no less visibility or lumens but more glare.
My BLF A6 order #7938538 that I placed yesterday (2 lights, 1 5A, 1 3D), I am concerned that the 5A tint model will be sold out and not ship because of the 3D tint one showing as not available until Aug 18th.
When I placed the order all the tints said, “ships in 3-6 days” or something like that.
Shortly After ordering them, the description changed on the 3D model. I would not have ordered them together had this been listed at the time of order.
Is there any way that we can be sure my 5A model is put aside until the 3D models show up?
I am confident that I am not the only one with multiple lights in same order.
I tried to PM you earlier but appears to not have gone through. If it did, I apologize for bothering you with this.

Thanks,
Keith
Any news on the limited-availability (~50 units) for the bare-aluminium version?
Assuming there will be such a small quantity, I suspect there will be no such selection in tint…
So which tint will the non-anodised version be likely to have?
I ask because I would like to hold-off buying this tint in the regular version, and instead buy the other tints so that pills can be swapped as wanted in each host.
Also would be able to lego the anodised and non-anodised for a black/silver mashup. This could also resolve the lock-out thread lacking on the non-ano.
The A6 uses an integrated shelf instead of a pill. One short section of the light holds the driver and emitter, so swapping tints might involve a small amount of soldering unless you don’t mind having a black section in a silver light.
thoughts: I am in on the tiny little Quantum GB, $22 for the Stainless! For $3 more this is a lot more light! Oh well. Looking forward to getting the smaller host, whenever that transpires. I’ll need to pick up at least (1) 18350 cell. I passed on the battery deal for this light, yes $5.84 seems great. But I try my 35A cell in other lights and I just DON’T see any difference! I really don’t.
If it’s still possible, I’d be down for one NW naked/non-anodized light in addition to the two I’ve already ordered. Thanks to all who worked to make this light and group buy happen!
