Maybe I should clarify that… I really like the build of the body, just the way it is
If the emitter/driver/performance were to be tweaked that would be fine with me.
Did I miss an estimated cost on these? All the group buys lately have done damage to the budget for sure, so I have to add that end cost will largely be a determining factor. Sorry, but this time that’s the way it is.
Nichia, copper, clicky. Perfect! I’d take three or four depending on price.
Also like the shape as pictured. Only ‘fix’ I would prefer is to lower the bulging rear-switch and make it a tail-stander.
Perhaps a matching metal flat switch?…
To have a metal button they would have to completely redesign the tail and switch itself. It would not be feasable for such a limited run without a huge increase in price. Normally I prefer a metal switch aesthetically but in this light I actually prefer the existing design for looks and function. I think Lumintop knocked it out of the park with this design. It is everything a flashlight should look like, IMO. ;)
No, at least the Ultrafire A3 was years earlier, the reviews on dx go back to 2008 and you can still buy it, great little light, still have one. Here's a review from old4570 from 2011: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/1393
This light is so close to what I’ve been looking for, literally for years now.
I actually found this thread through a google search tab that I’ve had open for over two years now: “aaa Nichia 219 light”. Nobody seems to make a 3 mode Nichia 219 keychain light with EFFICIENT modes at a reasonable price, but this is the closest I’ve seen.
Personally I want the light to be as small as possible, so a twisty would be better for me but I understand that some people want the clicky too.
I’m in for one as long as starting from lowest to highest, not M-L-H.
As djozz suggested it, higher current switch and higher PWM if possible. Hopefully the driver still suitable for 10440 if have some changing, thanks.
