I will accept Quick Charge suggestions now, I succeeded in making a box that can trigger it.
I have ordered this one, now but it will be some time before I get around to test it.
Not sure if I missed something but did you already test the blitzwolf 24W 4.8A 2x USB wall charger? (blitzwolf 24w - Buy blitzwolf 24w with free shipping | Banggood Shopping)

I am working on that one. I used it to check that my box could trigger the different voltages.
It will probably be some time before I publish the review, I do have many older reviews in queue.
Is this like a US only thing?

I would like to get some of them to review, but it will have to wait until I have publish reviews for some of the power I already have in queue.

Not yet available right now, but would make a neat car charger if it’s decent.

Hey HKJ!
Did you ever test one of those “Emergency USB Chargers”?

I need a very small and light charger for my MP3 Player, so I thought about these.

Not that model, but another 2xAA model: http://lygte-info.dk/review/Review%20Charger%20Danae%20DUO%209000%20UK.html
The energy in 2xAA is not very much, a single 18650 has the energy of nearly 4xAA.
OK, thanks
Then I will use a cheapo 18650 type
Thanks!
I’m sure you really don’t want to try this one out
But people should be aware it exists.

Dark Purple has demonstrated his new device: USB Killer 2.0. When plugged into a computer, the deadly USB draws power from the device itself. With the help of a voltage converter the device’s capacitors are charged to 220V, and it releases a negative electric surge into the USB port. This surge “fries” the USB port and, in the researcher’s demonstration, the motherboard — perhaps not always after the first surge, but the malicious USB device repeats the process until no more power can be drawn.
From the comments there:
We recently ran a “security awareness” month at the UNI I work for, giving away free flash keys to students who could show us their phone was secured at least with a password or pattern. They seemed surprised that no one bothered and most people told them they are too lazy to have to swype a pattern to unlock their phones. My suggestion was to custom build some pseudo malware, load it on those flash keys, or a set of flash keys, and leave them around campus. Nothing nefarious would happen to the user who did insert it other than an autorun popup informing them that we could have owned them right there if we wanted.
