My LED Lantern collection as of 2015.

Below are a couple photos of most of the LED lanterns i have in my collection, (lanterns, battery powered LED bulbs, hanging LED lights, etc. including a few lanterns with built in flashlights & dual-purpose lights. (some of these are kept at the RV, used for camping, our canoe trips, etc. The three larger Coleman lanterns in the back/center were once Fluorescent & converted over to LED. (better tint, brighter, longer run times.
most all of of these are modded with better tint LED emitters, many with multi-mode drivers, and some are converted to run on Li Ion 1865 cells, some are multi-power, (Li-Ion, NiMH AA, & 12v DC)
A added last years BLF Comp build Steampipe Light, and this years BLF comp build the apocalypse lantern as both have lantern modes.

I love the brass one in the top, right corner.

That one is the custom hand built light for the BLF 3rd Annual competition. (build thread is here: > 3rd Annual BLF Contest - DBSAR's "End Of The World Light" -UPDATES-5 /09/09/2015

I agree. The brass one is nice.

Very nice collection. Do you have any that are non-battery or fuel powered. I have a few UCO lanterns that burn candles, from votive size to a larger 4-5 inch candle. Useful for generating a little heat in a tent when it is cold outside.

Wonderful collection. I love the way you have them displayed for the picture. The brass one is outstanding!

I do have many small candle lanterns too in another collection, including gas lanterns, & kerosene oil lanterns.

I’m sure I’ve read it before but I’ll go back for a second look.

Pretty danged sure that brass one has my name on it. Super nice collection!! TL

Those are real cool, I have a lot to learn I’d like to mod an old incandescent lantern

what a collections but i’ll stick to flashlight+diffuser

I have quite a few of those too, but they have certain limitations compared to certain dedicated lanterns.

a few of these were incandescent and i modded them to LED.

size is my main reason why i like using flashlight and diffuser

very true. in the front of the photos you can see several cheaper flashlights i modded with wide-angle warm/white LEDs and permanent diffusers to them with hanging lanyards to do much the same purpose.

Nice collection, I think this one is missing in the collection

never seen one like that before.

Any kerosene lamp?
Here at my place petromax once become a must have lantern.
But not anymore because the leap of technology were LED is cheaper.

I do have kerosene and gas lanterns in a different collection. ( photo below are many from Coleman, Bernz-O-Matic, Sears, AFC, KampLite, and one Petromax. many of them are vintage, oldest is 1921.

Kerosene lanterns below:

I have got it from gearbest.
it has retractable reflector+diffuser.
ww tint.

I am not happy with other orders from Gearbest, one has been refunded, one has to be resent.

Looks interesting. it looks a bit better designed than most up-firing LED lanterns, (those with the LED on the bottom facing up and most of them cause a lot of eye glare and emit most of the light in the wrong direction when used outdoors) all of the up-firing lanterns i have i converted over to down-firing. (LED on the top facing down. Less eye glare, and more light when on tables, hanging in trees or a tent)
