Exploration photos with my flashlights

This is a fascinating post and I am speechless. What a great hobby you have here!

The darkest place my lights have seen would be my engine bay :expressionless:

Holy crap, awesome pictures Mike…just gorgeous!

Two more photos, this time from an abandoned underground factory and storage facility. Taken quite some time ago… oldies but goldies:

have you seen any zombies?

amazing… both you and the pics…

No, but I’ve scared the crap out of a couple of explorers in a dark underground facility who thought they where alone J)

Thanks

Great shots! I like the mine, reminds me of a cave.

Cool Pics. Thanks for the entertainment!

I will never dare to go to these places alone. :open_mouth:

Nice pictures btw!

Your pics are great. Are they free to use for personal use (like FB profiles etc) or you need to pay to use?

Thanks for the comments all!

If you want to use one for personal use I’m fine with it if you tell me which one and can credit me somewhere

Awesome pictures and enjoyable video, thanks for posting. Hope you’re using your lanyards, those flashlights would be a git to get back if you dropped em

And ofcourse, what’s on the bottom of earth’s butt crack?
Garbage, or should I say crap!!!
Humans, biggest garbage producers in universe :expressionless:

Anyway, like those pics from warehouse.

On the M6 I didn’t use a lanyard. I put a thick keyring through the holes so I could clip it with a carabiner and dyneema sling. I don’t trust those thin lanyards much

Yeah, it’s depressing to see sometimes. Seen much worse than this one.

Hi Mike, which brand of carabiner do you use? Is there any quality Chinese carabiner available?

The first pic is pretty nice

I use my climbing carabiners. Being a climber since a long time I have many. DMM phantom are nice in size, but with gloves on they’re a little too small, so the Wild Country Helium is the next choice. These are way over the top overkill just for carrying a flashlight, but as I have so many of them there is no point in not using them.

PM sent.

Added two newer photos to OP.

They are terrific pictures Mike. Love the way the picture was taken way behind the light. It gives a good perspective of size. How long ago was the mine closed?

Thanks

It’s an iron ore mine that was closed in the late 70s after being in operation for 250 years.

This abandoned mine is water filled from about 60 meters depth. In the winter it freezes so I just had to try this:
