My LED Lantern collection as of 2015.

I do have kerosene and gas lanterns in a different collection. ( photo below are many from Coleman, Bernz-O-Matic, Sears, AFC, KampLite, and one Petromax. many of them are vintage, oldest is 1921.

Kerosene lanterns below:

I have got it from gearbest.
it has retractable reflector+diffuser.
ww tint.

I am not happy with other orders from Gearbest, one has been refunded, one has to be resent.

Looks interesting. it looks a bit better designed than most up-firing LED lanterns, (those with the LED on the bottom facing up and most of them cause a lot of eye glare and emit most of the light in the wrong direction when used outdoors) all of the up-firing lanterns i have i converted over to down-firing. (LED on the top facing down. Less eye glare, and more light when on tables, hanging in trees or a tent)

I like the Stomach lanterns on the top shelves
Nicely stocked bar.

Great Lamp Collection...'specially the whiskys..

Do you ever have lantern parties where you turn on all your lanterns? If not, you should.

not yet, but would be interesting.

you might wait for a really cold day to light all the gas and kero lanterns.
they give off lots of heat!
those dollar store tiny desklamps are nice once modded with a upgrade pull led on a star and a prismatic laptop cell.
ad a 4056 board or what i did was gut a pen type ecig charger and put it in the base with the usb cord hanging out.5.1 ohm resistor limits a cree xr-e to about 250ma.
its quite useful now.

and that brass one is nice!
i would have a hard time modding it if it was mine and all original.
or is it a repro?

Which brass one are you referring to? the large one at top right? ( that one is the BLF 3rd Comp build here: > 3rd Annual BLF Contest - DBSAR's "End Of The World Light" -UPDATES-5 /09/09/2015

yes.so a custom.nice!

what a terrible name for a lantern!

yes the name “Glaree” is not a good name for an LED lantern, where most of the stock cheaper LED lanterns give off way to much Glare(e).

i remember seeing no.4 and 6 at my grandpa house, last time i see it still got a kerosene inside it

numbers # 4 & #6 from the left in top row? if its like the #6 on the top row from left, that’s a rare 1920’s Coleman CQ Quick-Lite worth a few hundred bucks or more. (the silver one)

Do you have any pics or info on the ones you modded? I have a few that look like the taller “mushroom” lantern on the back left and a handful of other lanterns that could benefit from an upgrade.

The kerosene one on the bottom

ok the all brass smaller one then.

i dont have any close up pics at the moment of the modded ones separately, but can get some probably.

Some pics would be appreciated I you get the chance.
