list of all triple XM-L (or more) lights

OMG you are talking about

STL-V2

Yeah I see you just added that. :) Thanks everybody for the updates. I see about 10 people have recently viewed or edited the list already this morning (morning in my time zone).

Funny, It was not me who added that . Only the price for it

You might consider disabling anonymous edits. That prevents the most basic type of vandalism and inadvertent changes. I saw someone anonymous (accidentally?) delete one light name cell right before my eyes. See: http://docs.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=175328

I added links to the lights (mfg, where available, or a purchase location when no mfg web site exists).

I'll leave it open to everyone for now, because we can always revert to a previous version if something is vandalized. Not sure if only I (the doc creator) can revert it, or if anyone can. i just checked the version history though, and there's lots of history saved.

I've seen your links appearing in the list before my eyes too. Thanks! I just added the column, with the intention of adding the links later, but you beat me to it. I love Google Docs!

Someone just deleted all of the lights and most headings. Probably time to revert (or restrict/ban). I believe only document owners or those granted owner rights can revert changes.

I don't see a way to leave editing open to only logged-in users without explicitly granting edit rights to each person, so that option may not be possible.

Geez, it's like someone wanted to test to see if we could recover the data. It's recovered now, and I've temporarily set the sheet to read-only for everybody. I'll read that link you sent me, Anagoge. :)

Hmm... After reading that info about Google Docs, I'm not sure how to proceed. It looks like I can either leave the list accessible to everyone for editing, or restrict access to only a group of people whom I grant access to. But I think if I do the latter, people will just choose not to bother asking for access, and the list will stop being updated.

For now, I've restored the version that looks like it contained everything, and set the list back to being editable by everyone. Hopefully the person who deleted everything can see that I can always restore the data, so deleting everything serves no purpose.

And just to be doubly sure, I've exported the list to a file on my HDD, so even if Google doesn't have a valid backup, I will.

There are several users on this forum that are spammers in disguise. They might have deleted everything because their websites weren't there.

What the....who would do such a thing. Literally all the lights are in there...... if the fxxxers cannot sell triple XM-Ls then it's their problem.

Edit : Oh I see, you guys added in web store links. LOL!

Hmm... do you guys think that's a problem? Should we remove the links? It looks like in most or maybe all cases, the links point to the only vendor who carries the light, or to the manufacturer's website, or to CPF, so I wouldn't think a competing dealer would be offended, but I could be wrong.

I just wanted to add links because undoubtedly when people see this list, they're going to want to visit websites where they can see pictures and more info.

Hey you dealers out there: if you sell a triple-XML that's not on this list, please add it! Or if you sell a light that's on this list, and there's a link to a competitor's website, add a second link for your own website to the list as well!

I'd say, do not remove the links. The vendors can add their links there. It is the flavour of the month right now, i guess it is pretty high profit + high vol.

Disguised vendors, which prefer not to admit who they are, will still use low level techniques. Many spammers have been called out to use the commercial section but they don't want to. Some start by asking questions about different flashlights, then tell of some website. I believe that these type of people prefer to "eliminate" the competition silently since they don't even admit they represent a website.

Added Zebralight S6330

Very nice list, thanks for putting it together! For the FandyFire F-3800 I added "Only 1 mode". Which made me think, "Is that a typo?" How in the world can they sell a triple XM-L light with only 1 high mode? Anybody own it?

Add UniqueFire 3900 to the List

Gorann, please go ahead and update/correct the list!

Yes I can, and I have already done so many times due to someone's errors or malice. It's just a few clicks for me to restore backed-up versions. I also save the list to my local HDD quite often in Excel format.

It looks like someone sorted the prices but not the rest of the data, so you might have to undo that change.

Thanks Anagoge. Done.
