Rating: [BG] BangGood.com

I’ve had 62 order from banggood. So far there hasn’t been any screw ups other than late. I give them 5 stars.

Well exactly 5.5 hours after I made my original post I got a shipment notice. Thank you Neal if you had something to do with that!

I received my 9.9 items approximately 2 weeks after payment and that was with the free post option. I was pleasantly surprised.

Is 9.9 a good thing?

Sorry I should have been clearer. The 9.9 refers to the 9/9/15 sale day they recently had. I ended up buying a couple of items including a torch.

oh, ok. It sounded like you were missing pieces.

I have an item from the snap up sale still showing as ready to process, does this mean I wasn’t successful in buying it, despite the fact that BG took my money? All my unsuccessful attempts show as payment pending.

Hi mapache

Pls PM me the order number

I'll help to check

Thanks PM sent.

Recieved my sanyo GA’s today, 3 weeks to get here which i think is ok, and well boxed and taped up although i think it could do with some bubble wrap on the outside when shipping batteries! Overall very satisfied

Received the Nitecore Tube that was on flash sale for 6 bucks recently.
Shipped on the 10th, and received it today.
Not bad for a free shipping by China Post, although Hong Kong would be nice as normally it can reach Singapore in less than a week.
But not complaining with Banggood service.
Recently ordered a Keeppower 3500mAh, which stated delivery within 6 to 9 working days and they shipped my order in 5 working days, so thumbs up again for them.

BTW, just what does “Banggood” mean? Is it Chinglish for “Good Shopping” or such?

Well more disappointment… A classic bait-and-switch from Banggood.com! In the side-by-side pictures, the advertisement is on the left (first image).

Before we get to that, let’s look at the plastic bag they were sent in. The plastic 18650 sleeves were both smashed because of this. The packaging shows just how much abuse they took on their way.

In the next picture, you see the Banggood advertisement on the left, and the delivery on the right. The arrows show the 18650 sleeves I mentioned before. The markings I circled are clearly different. No idiot would confuse the lights by accident.

Moving on, in the next picture, the red arrows identify some of the sharpest edges! Again, the advertisement on the left shows a rounded rear edge. And the one on the right that I received has very crude machining on every edge of the light. The green arrows show the buttons are different sizes. And the green circles mark lousy knurling on the one I was sent.

Moving on you can see the advertised one on the left has a much nicer lanyard keeper. And the tail cap insides are different.

And finally, the advertisement and the flashlight markings show CREE 1800 lm, but that’s not what’s inside. The board is clearly Latticebright, and according to the counterfeit CREE awareness thread on this forum, the LED itself can be confirmed a Latticebright counterfeit by the square pads the red arrows point to.

So my conclusion is I am a victim of Banggood’s bait-and-switch scam. Should I not be mad? Why do other buyers let them get away with this?

EDIT: The reasons it is inferior compared to the one in their advertising picture I already own from Amazon are 1) cheap/sharp edges hurt my hand 2) counterfeit LED, 3) horrible red tint from counterfeit LED, 4) just plain junky compared to what was advertised. 5) distorted, rainbow lens.

Go to CS then… Their CS isn’t as screwy as the other vendor…

Gee, that packaging looks just like mine! Smashed & torn. Thankfully, my light actually showed up fully-functional and as illustrated, though. But I do doubt mine has a Cree.

I’m very sorry you got Banged Good.

 I think it’s more bang for your buck. And hopefully a good deal.

Btw I’ve had good experiences with them so far. Only one item out of the last 5 I’ve ordered took 25 days. Usually it’s 10-14. Hope they keep it up!

Thanks for the opinion on the meaning of the name. You’re probably right!

When I contact BG customer service, they’re very nice, but this latest experience for Joshk is, well, very disturbing.

Alright, I emailed Cservice@banggood.com and linked to this page. Let’s see what happens next.

Neal quickly replied to my PM stating that the snap up item was out of stock, and not long after that I received an email with links offering me the choice of waiting for restock, pick different item or refund. I decided to wait since I wasn’t sure if I would be able to change to a similar item and still only pay $.99.

Hopefully it will ship soon.

Of all the people on this forum, beaconterraone is the only one that cares banggood.com scammed me and 675 buyers of the same flashlight I bought? I did business with banggood because the users of this forum recommended them. Nobody seems to care they are criminals. So as long as they are getting you the items a dollar cheaper than made-in-usa, nobody tells the truth?
