How to distinguish LEDs CREE XM-L T6, XM-L2 U2 and XP-E Q5 visually (external differences)

I’m a seller of the flashlights and I was faced with the fact that about 95% of my clients do not understand is secured by modern torches and its components. So I had to explain to every new potential buyer the same thing again and again, and again, and once more again…
And to make my life easier, I had made several explanatory videos and attached links to descriptions of flashlights.

Here is one of these videos:

I hope it would be useful for somebody else.

I am sorry but the video is a failure. The so called XM-L is actually suspect from the beginning because of the smaller die than the XM-L and the weird green area of the LED, then you can also see the LB that stands for LatticeBright, so a fake XM-L. Only later in the frame a 16mm round MCPCB is brought up with a real XM-L LED.

The so called XP-E appears to be weird and also it is labeled LB, LatticeBright as in fake LED.

The video says all these LEDs are manufactured by CREE and talks about people not understanding the labels of those LEDs. I do not want to come as rude, but you need more info and experience with LEDs otherwise wrong info is spread.

I simply cannot stand robot narrator... and crystals.

Thanks Hikelite for spotting the failures in the video

hi Vovan Hz, welcome to BLF! Please check out this thread about how to distinguish fake Cree leds, look well, the differences are very small: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/34914 . It is best to educate yourself before educating your customers ;-)

thank you for pointing out
