I don’t think it’s fair to attack Josh for buying a cheap flashlight and getting junk instead. The fact that it was cheap doesn’t justify the failure to deliver. The fact that what was advertised was ridiculous (1800 lumens) also doesn’t excuse the failure to deliver.
At this point, the focus shouldn’t be on criticizing the victim. It should be on managing the problem.
I look forward to seeing how Banggood’s customer service works in this situation.
They have probably done this to all 674 customers of this product in the past. Number 675 turned out to be the guy with some moral integrity. I’m trying to protect the next 675 customers. I really could care less about my money.
I imagine 90% of the claims of shifty & shady sellers about “being ripped off by PayPal Buyer Protection” involve cases just like this one: show something, deliver something else.
I paid less than $5.00 for the KD Buckle from Kaidomain. It was exactly as illustrated, and has threading rivaling my most expensive lights. Overall workmanship is excellent. I know it can be done, and doesn’t require four figures. Some choose to do something else.
Its hard to take you seriously when every remark you make is negative and such over kill. Everything is "THE ABSOLUTE WORST EVER!!" And there is NO OTHER EXPLANATION THAN THE ONE YOU PROVIDE!!. WHO CARES if Banggood thought they were getting one thing and got another too!!
It seems to me that if 675 other people had been scammed in this deal there would be more than one person on this forum who "cares" as you put it.
The only time I have seen such inflammatory remarks in an onslaught like this over a small detail is when something I was told called "trolling" was being done.
If over half your posts are complaints…. You may live under a bridge….
JoshK, if you feel you are the only one with moral integrity here, then fine… You are not, it is not Moral to have your expectations let down and then to accuse others of not seeing things your way and having the exact same feelings about it. Your expectations were in line with others (I want what is advertised when I pay too…), your reactions are not…
You have paypal protections, use them, then post back if you get results. I agree you should not have gotten the light you did, but chill on the lord of the flies replies to others that feel different from you about this….
Josh I do understand what is like in the heat of a moment, and how easy it is to drive hard at something when your angry.
I dont think anyone is saying they think a person should not get what is advertised. That is what this kind of thread is for is simple feed back. It can help both members and businesses.
My only point really is that its always appreciated when you remember that there is person on the other end of what ever comments are made.
You are a person, flesh and blood like the rest of us, and so is Neil (banggood).
Right now your feeling a deep sting because you got something different than what you were expecting to get. Neil may well be in the same boat. He may have purchased hundreds of dollars of those lights thinking the same think you did. Not only that now he has the added sting of having an upset customer.
I do wish you luck Josh. I hope that you an Neal are able to work this out and that neither one of you lets this dampen your spirit.
A few weeks ago I ordered 4 Samsung 30Q cells from Banggood. They sent 3 30Q and one protected Samsung cell. I talked to their CS on their forum and what do you know, they send the missing 30Q free of charge. And I get to keep the protected cell. Top tier customer service, it’s kinda hard not to like them. And look at that packaging.
Customer service won’t talk to me anymore. This was her last email:
