Beamshots, some triple XM-L, some Throwers

Sky Ray 850

Ok :)

501B with xml T6

oops, yeap, I was thinking at the Trustfire.

Do you know the distance to the house?

If you look at this image at full resolution, you can see that the 501B's hotspot is directed somewhere in close range, not like the SkyRays. I guess because the hotspot is larger it also reaches the house very slightly.

If I understood google translate correctly it should be about 150 meters away (to me looks like little more than that) and the hill where picture was taken is 20 meters higher than house.

Probably it was taken with a short focal length lens, so that's making objects in a distance appear farther than they are. Probably...

I did a Pythagorean calculation on that, it should be 151 meters from that point on the hill to the house, so 20 meters elevation doesn't change the distance that much in this case. All numbers are theoretic.

The Skyray 4300 looks less throwy than the 3800. Maybe just a little?

Holy crap, that looks like THE thrower. Way up on a hill and still shining on it like daylight.

Is there anything better? Otherwise I might consider buying this one.

Crelant 7G5 is better but as Coolper said not a night and day difference.

Very very nice shots! Sticky'd.

My vote would go for:

X8, STL-V2/V6, 3T6.

OK guys, can you say which flashlight is now the best budget thrower? STL V2/6 or more pricy Crelant? Or maybe something else? If crelant, is it worth additional 30$(70% price morethan STL V2)?

I don't have the Crelant, but I can vouch for the STL-V2 . Of all the flashlights I've owned (can't remember exactly) this one puts a smile on my face; simply because of the question of price vs. performance.

I know there are better thowers out there... but for how much more $? Maybe if I'm feeling rich (??) in the future I'll get me an Olight M3X, but that's a really big IF.

I have the 7G5 and I also have the STL-2 and the STL-V6 and they both out throw my 7G5. I think The STL's V2&V6 are the best budget thrower's made!!!!

EDIT: I got the new 7G5 V2 and it's a winner. Still for the money you can't beat the SkyRay STL-V2

Where is the SkyRay King Pic ?

Are all the light driven to their full potential?

Welcome to the forum, dsfaxw!

My thoughts exactly.

But then I do have a Fenix TK70.

But for a budget buy, the Skyray is a good buy.

Cheers

Trustfire 3T6 is also great ,either 2 18650 batteries or 3 batteries can light, bright and can work a long time.

FlashPilot, thanks for all these pics. do you maybe have some pics of Coleman LED spotlight ?
