Hi Nico, send a PM to BLF-member tinywind.com asking for a refund, mentioning your name and, if you have one, the order number. I'm not aware of the exact arrangements that Tinywind made with people who missed out on that group buy, but as far as I know everyone who asked for a refund has gotten that in a timely manner.
Well that figures, lol. I actually already have this light on order. It hasn’t arrived yet or I’d share my impressions, but I will update when it arrives as I may be the first to receive it. Guess that’s what my extra 10 bucks bought me…
I doubt that I'm getting a review sample, I believe that the order is not going out before this group buy seems succesful (the order of events will probably be: 50 lights are signed up for -> Tinywind orders the lights -> lights are payed for and send out to participants)
But this is the transmission graph that Jaxman provides, I like that they seem to have their own measurements done:
This is the transmission graph that is provided with the ZWB2 filter that i tested (look at the green line for ZWB2):
It seems like they differ not so much, could be the same filter even.
I do not know how Tinywind is going to sort that out. The best they can do is just refund all people who have not been refunded yet, and I suggested that a few days ago. It seems like they also offered a $19.99 coupon to people (for non-discounted items, and not suitable for this group buy) instead of a refund. It sounds to me like a logistic nightmare for them to transfer the payment for the Romisen group buy to the Jaxman group buy light.
Personally I would just ask for a refund, perhaps best by PM to BLF-member tinywind.com, mentioning your name and if available the ordernumber. Mind that it seems that Wanita, who is standing in for Saphire at the moment, is not available for answering PM's until tuesday.
I don’t, unfortunately. I had borrowed a buddy’s Nitecore CU6 a few weeks ago and kept it a while, so I kinda know what a decent UV light should do, but its already gone back home. One of my biggest gripes with the CU6, and most UV lights for that matter, is the amount of “visible” purple light that leaks out of them. The bandpass filter on this light is what attracted me to it. Regardless I’ll post some thoughts when it arrives, for whatever they’re worth
I updated the OP with the question if participants would please note if they are participants of the RoMiSen group buy who did not receive that light? That is because I'm not entirely sure if Tinywind will be able to reproduce a list of the BLF-names of people who lights were actually sent to.
