Why you should never buy to Gearbest

Now it makes sense

Two of my orders are about to be 60 days since ordered, will contact them and ask for free reship with registered mail.

I always request for status update if my package processing takes more than 2 weeks or so.

They are using dpex.com for some of their expedited shipping. If you are presented with a 550062756075 (12digits) tracking number, most likely it is under them.

I ordered a Xioami reddot pair of earphones from GB on special in July based on a recommendation here on BLF.Since the 2 Xtar chargers ordered the same day(different order)arrived weeks ago,and two later orders as well,I opened a ticket on Tuesday(13th)The next day,I got a reply requesting address confirmation,to check at post office and check with family and friends that they did not sign for it.
I replied yesterday,address OK,PO and friends clear.
Today I got offered 2 options, refund or free resend,I took resend.I have no doubt it will be sent.
So ,resolved in 3 days

Hugsby XP-11 (AA version) ordered 25 September 2015.

Shipped 5 October 2015, via unregistered China Post. Lead time listed on product page is “3 - 5 business days,” so actual is slightly over that.

Received in good shape 19 October 2015.

Submitted ticket for my Yezl Y3. Ordered 9/19/2015, received 10/13/2015. It arrived with switch lying inside package, detached.

  • Filed claim ticket on 10/13/2015, including pictures.
  • Received response from Gearbest on 10/15/2015. Gearbest said that it was a “small defect” and offered to compensate me with $5.00 Gearbest store credit.
  • I sent my response to Gearbest on 10/15/2015, telling them that their $5 offer was not acceptable. I requested a repair, replacement or refund.
  • Gearbest sent a message back on 10/16/2015, requesting a video documenting the damage. (WHAT A VIDEO WOULD SHOW THAT A PHOTOGRAPH WOULD NOT, I DON’T KNOW!)
  • I sent Gearbest a video on 10/16/2015.
  • Today, I sent them another message, asking whether they had reviewed the video.

Wait and see.

I’ve placed a couple of orders recently with Gearbest, one a MC1 charger and the other 4x18650’s. The order for the MC1 arrived yesterday and all was well. The bubble lined envelope didn’t protect the charger box, but otherwise no damage. Delivery time, about 3-4 weeks. My experience here is a good one. The second order being for batteries is still waiting for the arrival. So far abut 3 weeks have passed. My only concern here is that I read it’s being sent via surface mail. I’m not in a rush but would hope that the delivery arrives within a couple of weeks. Clearly others have had some nasty experiences.

I think they ask for video for their protection. Video is much harder to fake than photo, they want a “proof” that customer is telling truth.

It is nonsense for retailers to be demanding that consumers make videos for them.

+1,000,000

Just slap ’em with a Paypal stick, thats it, always works ;)!

anyone else only get half their order from gearworst?
I ordered a chuwi tablet, 6 18650 batteries, 2 dazzne water proof cases and 2 zweihnder red emitting c8 flashlights on the 28th of September. today I had a parcel from them but only the 6 batteries and the 2 flashlights came! and the flashlights were the cheaper ultrafire ones… I ’ve opened a ticket on them so watch this space…

it is possible that your order was split up into two parcels - some of the items in their store are dropped shipped from other places vs their normal warehouse

But he should be getting 2 tracking numbers then.

only 1 tracking number, and no mention of split parcels

Either refund directly from them or Paypal case should be opened ;)!

10/19/2015 _ Gearbest offered to either give me an in-store credit for the full purchase price or to send me another. I chose the in-store credit. No mention was made of returning the defective product.

Now, I’m waiting for the in-store credit to appear on my account (My GB Wallet).

I’ll post here when I receive the credit.

So far, the claim process has gone quite smoothly!

Meanwhile, I put in a separate claim for my long lost Red Convoy S2+.

8/24/2015 _ Ordered one Red Convoy S2+.

10/18/2015 _ I put in a claim ticket requesting refund or re-send item.

10/19/2015 _ Gearbest responded that the package was sent and that it should be delivered by October 26.

10/19/2015 _ I responded that I will wait until October 26 before taking any further action.

Note: With a stated delivery time of 10-25 business days, that would mean that the package left their store between September 21st and October 12. There is nothing on the order tracking information other than the last update on 8/26/2015, which reports update information as “undefined”.

Hugsby XP-1 ordered on 1 October 2015.

Shipped via China Post, unregistered, 4 October 2015.

Authentic Hugsby XP-1 received safely today, 20 October 2015. This XP-1 has all the marks of a real one, unlike many.

Why are you spamming the thread with your orders?

#1: understand what the term “spam” actually means.

#2: understand that real data on orders from GearBest is 100% relevant to this thread.
