Has Simon said what batteries will fit? 26700 KK?
My guess is no. When he was doing his runtime tests he said he was using a KK 26650. Not sure if a 26700 would work though he says protected 26650 will work and there are springs on both ends so it’s not entirely out of the question. I should have mine in maybe a week but I dont even own a 26670. I’m sure someone in this first round will have one on hand to test though.
Once you get yours a simple measure with a ruler should work

I think I will wait till he brings out the updated L2. Or when he offers a (light) orange peel reflector with 2cell tube or extension in host form.
Last week I’ve build a convoy c8 with a xpl HI an fet + 7135 driver, so I’m covered right now :bigsmile: .
So tempted, it’s a very nice looking light, but I’m in so many group buys….
Any set time frame for the host to be available?

Regarding L2 - looking forwards for improved version.
Its now a couple days later and it was bought 2 times. Not really record breaking.
I’m still considering one, but like DB i’m also in a couple GB’s.
Any news on the host/OP reflector/2cell tube?
Guessing a good chance a 26700 will fit with him saying protected 26650's fit. I messaged Simon just now for a host or discount on the fullup light. Really like the looks. A quality and better HD2010 but with an even tougher look.
I would think they'd sell at $30-$35 for what it is. Suggested improvements:
- XHP-50/70 options (driver or battery config changes)
- add some tech, like e-switch/micro USB charging, etc.
- possible 3 LED reflector - a BT-4000 done right
- a 3 18650 carrier and/or extension tube
It sounds like Simon likes the idea of a 2 cell tube as opposed to an extension and it’s looking good for him having it manufactured along with an OP reflector. He used the Jax X6 Hunter as a reference to be sure he knew what I was getting at for the double length tube and OP reflector. I told him that was closer to what we were looking for just without the “tactical” ring near the tail which he agreed was useless. No promises yet but we’re heading down the right road. As far as discounts go Simon is offering 15% off to any BLF members. You just need to send him a message through his Ali store. He also has the host available for $35.12 though he has not yet added a link for it. That’s another one you have to message him him to purchase until he has time to update the site with a new link. He said the 15% discount is good for both host and complete light. I think he’s a little overextended right now so please be patient. Simon always makes it worth the wait IMO.
Well - if you can pass this along, I really like his Blue S2+ SS switch design improvement. It would be really cool if he would sell these in red, blue and green S2+ hosts in a shorty version.

He has only told me I could offer that for the blue S2+, L2 and L2 host. You ask but I don’t want to push it myself. His lights are already a great value IMHO. He’s not publishing these as official discount codes he’s just taking care of his friends and fans here at BLF.

I will. The green is on hold while we wait for a darker sample from the manufacturer. As far as the red and blue shorty host if you just buy a standard host and ask him to add in a single short tube you’re only talking about an extra $2.45 and then you have a single light you can swap from short to long whenever you feel like it. I don’t want to make promises for Simon but I’m fairly certain he would have no problem doing that.
I think that’s the most economical option, coz with an extra $2.45 you have the option of using the 18650 or 18350 tube for your flashlight
The tactical ring on the X6 is removable. Useless it is not, With such a big light as the X6 the tactical ring is a great hand stop, for when you let it slip in your hand to get to the push button, in a hurry! I have 5 off them modded differently and really use the tactical ring for this purpose, it beats using 2 hands Just my 2cent!
Another thing I would like to see and feel is a little more aggressive knurling. :heart_eyes: Like the Jax X6 with medium knurling, could stand a more robust knurling. :~ Let’s face it people you will not be EDC’ing this one. :bigsmile: And with the XHP70 pumping out so much heat, these lights are better suited for cold weather use, like in Search and Rescue, spotting for critter’s, Hunting, Ice fishing or any other outdoor activity. Where the use of gloves will be needed. 
Real use in a real world not sitting on some shelf going looky what I got!!
