Gearbest: Lots of orders missing, looking for advice

I had an experience once with DX sending me the same wrong order (lens cap), over and over.

Each time, the product arrived labeled with the correct SKU … but didn’t match up with the pictures and description on the sales page.

I kept telling the Customer Service people that their SKU’s were mixed up, but they just kept sending me the wrong part!

Finally, after receiving the wrong item for the third time, I simply gave up. It wasn’t worth my time to try to get them to fix their ordering system.

I’ve had KD orders held up for weeks waiting items to be shipped, only to be eventually canceled due to lack of availability. However, I was never charged for those transactions.

And the longest that I’ve had to wait for delivery of a Banggood order has been 24 days. :stuck_out_tongue:

or add 1.99 for tracking and 1.49 insurance as they tell you

Now, now, I think we should stick to the subject. 0:)

I have ordered from Gearbest four times in the past months, all of them without tracking; three are arrived, but the one ordered on july 30th is missed; the customer service of Gearbest functions well, have the money in my GBwallet, but the pack is missing...

This is the first time that I have a missed package, after over 70 shippment from HK/CN

If someone who understands the system in China could explain the difference between gearbests shipping system and Banggoods I would be grateful, if there is a difference that is. As somebody has already mentioned there can’t be a load of lost packages in the postal dept. Now we are a small community here, if you consider the potential amount of customers out there, there could be tens of thousands of parcels lost. I don’t believe that is the case, so is it only me that is starting to think they were never sent to begin with?

the order system shows a picture of a parcel, and they all look different. has the correct address on it and the size matches the item, at least in my case.

I don’t believe they “fake” shipments, just that some of them simply don’t arrive. Maybe they need a logistics overhaul as other shops don’t these issues for my destinations.

But that’s my point, no other companies have the same problems, so what’s different? There must be something. Or someone working there is taking stuff home rather than to the post office.

People, or peoples, somewhere down the line must be taking this stuff. Need their fingers putting in a vice……after first lining the jaws with carpet gripper

the funny thing is, all packages from GB now appear to have a “tracking code”, even though they are not necessarily tracked! so from purely looking at the parcel nobody should/could know whether the shipment is traceable.

maybe this was one of the countermeasures GB implemented to tackle the issue of “breakage”.

The common thing to all my missing parcels is China Post. How about yours?

Yes you are right. I have not had a single item delivered by chinapost yet.

Who do banggood use?

My missing shipments are SingPost and ChinaPost

The items I have received are from NLPost (Dutch) and Sweden Surface Mail.

I placed two orders which, after almost 70 days, never arrived. I had good communication with Gearbest and they refunded all of my money through PayPal without an issue. I was pretty impressed, but won’t chance another order.

My singpost ones have arrived.

Oh, this scares me. Nitecore EA11 in transit from GB now. I just finished an ugly dispute with another Chinese vendor yesterday. It was resolved in my favor but who know’s, it could have gone either way. I’ve about decided that saving a few bucks ain’t worth the hassle and wait times that comes with most of these Chinese vendors.

i order since over 10 years from alibabe never had any trouble if something was missing 2 times out of far over 200 orders i got ful l refund without any problems one i had a deffect i got a replacement also without any hesitation. fast tech 5 orders never any issues dx 3 orders no issue banggood over 10 orders no issue.

never had any issues with china post i prefer it over DHL dhl here act as customs they will charge you import duties regardsless customs check it or not which normal post never does.

i suspect GB makes offers to low then never ships them then off you 50% if you have no insurance so they still make a biz i guess why they would prefer in my case full refund over resend item???

My two missing orders ( one knife, one tablet cover) were sent with china post…

Little story… (spanish) DX and China Post http://forolinternas.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=7884

I dislike having to use China post. Tracking numbers from them are often useless, and more often than not packages camp in HK for many days before leaving.

I have only ordered a few times from Gearbest back when courui DO1 first came out, and all of my orders did arrive. I almost always use what ever shipping upgrades are offered though. Gear best has a couple that are dirt cheap in my opinion.

3-7 day priority ( zero dollars in my case)
And express for only $12.

I always use the $10-12 upgrade when I order from banggood too and if I order more than like a hundred bucks from Hank I PM him hand have it sent DHL.

Costly you say? Perhaps, but is it more costly than lost packages? Not for this cat
