Convoy S2+ UV 365nm flashlight, Nichia led inside

Simon sent me a couple of pictures to post for you guys and gal to see. 8)

Well I’ll ask the obvious question: how much? Those Nichia UV emitters aren’t cheap…

Also, do you know which Nichia emitter is it? They have a few, I think.

I’m guessing the LED is the NCSU276A U365

The price of the Nichia 365nm have just come way down in price . Simon can get a better price on them bulk. That is why we will see an affordable Convoy with a Nichia UV inside.

There will a 18350 version?

Simon informed me on 2015-10-12 that he was making the two new products. I noticed right after that the Convoy BD04 UV went out of stock.

Simon informed me on 2015-10-13 that the manufacturer is producing UV flashlights. With a rough price estimate.
BD04 365UV flashlight $29.26
S2+ 365UV flashlight $22.11

I’ll let you know if I hear any more news from Simon. I presently have no more information to give to any of you.

Wow, those are good prices for Nichia UV.

… these flashlight sales are running me broke!

S2+ UV using nichia LED is only $22.11? If so, that’s a great deal. I agree that it should be 18350 since the current draw is so low to begin with.

I don’t mind 18650, when will they be available?

I am in. One for me.

I don’t have a use for one but id probably buy one as Simon is a top notch guy and I love my 4 s2+ ’s excited to get my short tubes here soon.

I’m glad Simon did the right thing when the Nichia prices went down. It’s clear that other businesses don’t have his ethics.

More than 10 available and one sold. That one poor bastard doesn’t know that LCK-LED went in dry. I hate price gougers. :expressionless:

I got a message from Simon. I had asked if he would sell ZWB2 filters at his store because there was a interest in them. He replied and said that he would add them to his store in 2 days. He didn’t give me a price, but knowing Simon, it will be an affordable price. Not that $16.88 that we saw on Aliexpress.

Well done Jubeldum+Simon!

Sorry for a noob question, but I don’t know much about UV. Will these make scorpions fluoresce or do you need a special type of VU light for that?

This sounds interesting. How do I find Simon’s e-tail outlet in order to keep up with events?

Awesome news about the filters!
