Any flashlight reccomendations that can surpass my Tom E BTU Super Shocker?

Hey guys! It's been far too long since I've been able to find time to read up on all of the new flashlights. I've been "out of the game" when it comes to flashlights for almost 2 years. I got caught up with finishing my degrees and job hunting after graduation. Things have finally started to slow down for me so I'm looking to get back into the hobby.

One of the last flashlights that I bought and had modded was a Tom E BTU Shocker. I sent it to him and was amazed at the results. At the time it was the brightest and highest kcd Shocker he had made.

Here are the results:
amps across the switch: 5.5A
lumens: 4,488 at start, 4,278 at 30 secs
throw: 434 kcd measured at 5 meters

So my question to you guys is, are there currently any stock flashlights that are able to compete or even surpass these numbers for under $200?

The only stock one i know is the Nitecore TM36 LOL
And it doesn’t even hit 400kcd

You can definitely get higher lumens, but not with that kind of throw. That is still a killer light 2 years later.

I’d take a stock Acebeam K60 over it. K60 is really nice. I don’t really believe your lux number tbh.

The lux readings are from TomE himself. He was really confident the results were accurate.

Stock BTU shockers rock about 180kcd. Simply Dedoming roughly doubles that…. Add in the myriad of modifications/tweaks/changes Tom made… 434Kcd is certainly reasonable.

NO! The Super Shocker is Legendary! Like TomE  400cd or better you bet your sweet bippy! The Acebeam X60vn modded/dedomed I read is in the 600cd, but your not touching it for $200 bucks!

Here is something to look at, maybe you can pick a stock one and have it modded? The X60 is just a BEAST! http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?387655-Jmpaul320-OTF-Lumen-Sphere-Readings-amp-throw-measurements

you will most likely have to go the modded route to surpass those numbers… getting high numbers for throw AND flood usually equates to a large light… the new modded tn36utvn will do 13000 otf lumen, but it is a flooder… as far as throw - there havent really been too many more advancements in throw over the last year… tm36 modded will hit 1 million lux

I'm definitely open to modded light recommendations too. I'm just trying to stay around the $200 price range.

the only other thing that i can think of that hasnt been mentioned already would be the tk75vn variants.
vinh has made so many different versions of this light, i dont even know which one it would be called.
best is to go onto his website or his subforum and check it out.
but it will cost over $200 though…

oh, and lets get something straight, i have the brightest shocker tom e ever built….mine is 5440 lumens
lol.
i went the domed route, so its also only hitting 240 kcd.

Wish the BTU can get back on the market, affordably. Not exactly what you’re looking for, but I’m running the Supfire L1 at around 5000 lumens (can measure more accurately, just estimating now) @ 180kcd…
