I’ve been following this light since its announcement. As a Zebralight fan I’m always interested in lights that seem to “pay homage” to them, even if its really an attempt to just copy Zebralight’s working formula as this seems to be. I’m still of the opinion that this light is overpriced and have not yet purchased one, but if the change in branding to “Godmes” and anodization to black is a permanent change then I’m now a lot less interested.
Great review though. There’s still a lot to like about this light, but the price is too high (I think) and I really don’t like the branding/color changes from the earlier models.
Since a single click from off now goes directly to low, does 4 quick clicks from off go straight to turbo? Is there any other way to quickly access turbo from off?
Can you measure the diameter of the clip, and comment on whether it’s well enough made that it could be used on other flashlights?
I’ve been looking for a few good deep carry clips for a couple of months now.
Ones that aren’t fragile, and have enough space in the high curve to fit over the thick seam of a jeans pants pocket, in particular.
Yep, that driver! that must be the biggest step in AA mod-land in many years.
There just arent any widely available great AA drivers.
If they do, I guess they will be pricey?
Length betwen clip track conection (@center) and top (high curve end): +–15mm
High curve gap: ± 1.5mm (at rest)
I find the clip a bit filmsy, but overall OK. As comented in the review, afaik the manufacturer has the intention to modify the clip thickness from 0.8mm to 1.0mm.
So, the one I ordered from BG showed up. It is white/natural anodizing, but is unfortunately labeled “GODMES” which looks silly, but thankfully doesn’t stand out too much. Really cool little light.
Came with a lanyard preinstalled on the very secure clip.
