[Review] Manker T01 (XP-L HI V3, 1x AA / 14500)

Great review, UPz, read it all through!

Interested in this light, but as already mentioned, too expensive at the moment.

However, 20kcd with 14500, thats a truly pocket rocket :D!

Thanks!!

Very nice review, thanks!

Try PMing Madmax for a better deal.

Can’t wait to get mine in the mail. Should be less than a week; I ordered the white/natural so we’ll see what shows up.

Great review btw!

Great review!

Since a single click from off now goes directly to low, does 4 quick clicks from off go straight to turbo? Is there any other way to quickly access turbo from off?

Thanks!

Can you measure the diameter of the clip, and comment on whether it’s well enough made that it could be used on other flashlights?
I’ve been looking for a few good deep carry clips for a couple of months now.
Ones that aren’t fragile, and have enough space in the high curve to fit over the thick seam of a jeans pants pocket, in particular.

Maybe they’d sell them separately, if so?

This review is simply TOO good! The light itself makes me want it, and this review makes it impossible to NOT get one! Curse you, lol!

I really like how it appears like a little Zebra light on steroids, and the way it’s made internally, a must have.

Well done, thank you!

Very good review! I do like the swap to black anodisation and orange o-ring (the name godmess is funny).

I want this driver for sale

Yep, that driver! that must be the biggest step in AA mod-land in many years.
There just arent any widely available great AA drivers.
If they do, I guess they will be pricey?

Hello,

Just measured:

  • Flashlight clip track diameter: 18.1mm
  • Flashlight clip track height: 3.9mm
  • Clip total length: 52.5mm
  • Clip width: 6.5mm
  • Length betwen clip track conection (@center) and top (high curve end): +–15mm
  • High curve gap: ± 1.5mm (at rest)

I find the clip a bit filmsy, but overall OK. As comented in the review, afaik the manufacturer has the intention to modify the clip thickness from 0.8mm to 1.0mm.

Hope the info is helpful.

Hello,

If you do 2 quick clicks (or more) from off you’ll go to strobe mode. No turbo shortcut afaik.

I also like the black version with orange silicone ring.
They had better change the model name to “GOD MESSI”

+1

Too throwy, too bulky (head), too CWish, too pricey…. A definete pass for me :stuck_out_tongue:

any chance of adding beam shot?

So, the one I ordered from BG showed up. It is white/natural anodizing, but is unfortunately labeled “GODMES” which looks silly, but thankfully doesn’t stand out too much. Really cool little light.

Came with a lanyard preinstalled on the very secure clip.

Unknown00101: does the light you just received from banggood have the new firmware with the one click from off to always go straight to low?

To everyone: how can I be sure that if I order from banggood (the black t01) that I will get the new firmware?

Is there a third firmware I’m not aware of? Mine has the same 2 groups of modes “general” and “pro” with mode memory as described in this review (long click from off to turn on) which is different from the pre-production model.

Edit: I missed the direct access to low in the review. Not present in mine.

Thanks for the info. Looks like the original clip is the same one I found fragile on a different light they made.
Hoping to hear they have an improved one available.

Great review.
I’ve been fan of Manker ever since getting the Rambler, they seem built to last. I like the mild crenelated bezel so I can tell if I accidentally left the light on when putting it down head first. I don’t understand the re-labeling to GODMES. Too bad they are asking so much for the price, else I would get one!
