Samsung protected icr18650 3000mah 30b

Just curious if my Nitecore Digi charger will charge this battery http://m.gearbest.com/batteries/pp_187053.html?wid=1 up to the Max 3000 mah?. Thanks

Nope. You’ll need a charger that can do 4.35v.
Your Digi charger will stop charging when the battery reached 4.2v.

The protection circuit will not let a 4.35 volt charger fill it.I have 2 Samsung SDI 3Ah cells.I removed the protection circuit and now they can charge to 4.35 volts.

Thanks. How about the Protected 2600mah version? http://www.gearbest.com/batteries/pp_192848.html are these getting a full charge? Thanks again

Check HKJ’s battery comparator .They both seem to have 2500mAh capacity. The lower voltage sag of the 26 is because it is not a protected cell.

What is the point of a 3000mAh protected 18650 then? Just asking.

Where did you get the 4.35v spec? The 4.35v is not specified in the spec section.

I dn’t have Samsung specs sheet, but there is a review done by HKJ on this battery
HKJ test

Really surprised GB page not listing the 4.35v. Wonder if that’s also the case with other 4.35 batteries. Thanks for the head’s up, and the HKJ link.

A few of the batteries from Samsung and LG sold by GB are rated 4.35v eg. Samsung ICR 32A, but GB never mention this in their product page while Fasttech clearly shown that this battery is rated 4.35v in their product page
