Overview: All Eneloop batteries 2005-2024

And you realy realy REALY have to have this new eneloops immediately right now? Can you just wait a month or two while they become more available! from reputable sources! Trying to be the first to have them you will buy some counterfeit crap and then start another revolution here.
Eneloops were never fast to reach other markets outside of Japan…

I saw them on amazon.de

The Hello Kitty Eneloops have been out for quite some time in SE Asia. This is nothing new.

Hey Kouryu, do you know when they came to the market? I've only seen them being mentioned over at cpf. (About the hello kitty)

But the Eneloop Organic (limited edition) is the new 5.gen, since they have a 10 year shelf life.

New Eneloop Tones announced (goes on sale November 13th, Japan only)

Available as:
BK-4MCC/8TN
BK-3MCC/8TN

Could these be the long awaited "10th anniversary" editions? If they are, I'm pretty disappointed!

My question would be: what were you expecting?

They just changed the specs on their batteries, so its kinda unlikely they would produce a "better battery" according to specs.

I kinda like them.. great colors!

the very first eneloop limited editions;

2015

I just bought a set of 4th gen eneloops, from a local retailer. The code printed is BK-3MCCE. I am not sure whether they are legit. The date stamp is barely visible, printed near the positive terminal, although the value is 1411 the same as the one printed on the packaging. Not like my other eneloops, the date stamp are easily visible, printed at the center, and it has format like 11-07XX. The other thing is there is ridge near the positive terminal. So, are they fake eneloops?

Are there vents around the base of the positive terminal? None of my eneloops have a ridged top or vents. My Chinese made Panasonic infiniums do have a ridged top and vented positive terminal. But I don’t have Eneloops with your code, I have three different codes not the latest.

Yes there are 4 vents at the positive terminal. Are they the 4th gen like mine? And what is the date code format?

Okay, your packet says made in China, so those are probably genuine, but not Japanese. The latter are the best, and made by FDK in Japan. The Chinese ones are inferior, and probably Panasonic Evolta under the skin. Evolta replaced Infinium, but might have been little more than a name change. They are a good battery, but do not last as many charge cycles as Japan made Eneloop.

Seems legit, but made in China (cells made in Japan are better).

Yup, I am aware that mine are the inferior chinese build. They are the best I can get from my local retailer. I dont mind using them, I just dont trust fake product. If they are fake, I will ask for a refund.

Ordered the new editions:
BK-4MCC/8TN
BK-3MCC/8TN
directly from Japan now. (I just wanted the newest). But they was not free…$6.5/battery when I order two 8 packages of AA and one packages of AAA.

Anybody that know the real price per package in Japan?

16.December 2015:

Prices in Japan go up and down almost daily. These are new, so probably around 20-25 usd, shipping would be another $4 per pack. PayPal eats $1,50 and they take a $1 exchange fee again when you withdraw the money in Japanese yen.

You can do the math. But 6,5usd per battery you paid is quite a lot.

It was from the first and then only seller in Japan I got them, now there is several sellers from Japan, and the price is down to around $3.75/battery. Still direct from Japan.
Can you read the circular picture on the package (from my picture in my last thread) and confirm/not confirm that this is the 10 years batteries as well? I can see the number 10 there, but don’t understand the rest.

No, that means it's a 10th anniversary edition.

ok.So only export batteries have 10 years shelf life?

Wonder why eneloops are not sold alongside the rayovac, energizer, durecell in most retailers? Or at least a rebranded 2000 mah version?

Might be because most people don't know about them, and therefore sellers are less likely to sell them. With this in mind, they are usually more expensive than other brands outside Japan, that it's difficult to sell them..

Don't know exactly but I thought this could be the case ;)

Yep, marked as spam. Just like your other post. No meaning of posting double, stuff everybody knows already.
