Got email that indicates mine all shipped on the 5th… but did not get a tracking number and can’t pull up the order information because when I login I do not see the order…
If you use the link in the first post, it takes you to a page showing the BLF engraved light and the $9.90 price.
As it says in the OP now, anyone reading here can use the code and get the $6.99 price on the BLF-engraved light.
Been trying to resist this groupbuy for ages as I already have a stock sf-348 but it is my favourite aaa light and i couldn’t resist any longer….
Thanks for organizing it.
Apparently, I see that today the non-engraving version is currently sold at 6.99 price without coupon code.
This way I can purchase it for under $5 using my available point on GB.
i guess the answer to people sending pm’s to everyone on the list is for everyone to reply “separately’ to his question .A few thousand PM’s might be an appropriate way to help someone learn how to read …
I also have though of suggesting this but it felt too evil
But if we all can agree to it i am up for absolutely anything for this to stop, we have at least gotten rid of one of our trolls recently, if you click on the user names of those who replied to the GB PM you will find the user who is not there anymore
Mine are circling the event horizon near Detroit. I may get them tommorow or Saturday. If they don’t show up, some USPS employees family will be having a merry Christmas this year.
I create and use a throwaway email ID to log into each online vendor (so I can cancel it if it starts being spammed)
I noticed my order for these lights didn’t show up — and when I checked I found I also have an account login there using my PayPal email address as the login name.
Who knew?
So I had to try logging in to that (without knowing a password, of course)
Request a password reset, changed whatever password they had on it.
Then log in
and lo, there’s my order, plus two other orders I made for special price items, with tracking.
Very peculiar. I have no idea if it’s a security problem that they have multiple accounts for me.
So I changed my PayPal to a different email.
Tried another order.
Now they’re spamming that new email urging me to create a new buyer account so I can use more “points”
Weird.
Maybe this is part of the push to get people to order with their smartphones?
Many web systems hard-code the bad assumption that there is a strict one-to-one mapping between email addresses and actual people. This gets weird when paying by Paypal with a different email address for the Paypal account (among many other corner cases). It’s probably just a bug in the site caused by a bad assumption.
I see this type of bug all the time… but I also have about a thousand email addresses.
