Halfway there, give it a bit of time to get traction. With all the GB’s in progress it might take some. Anyone interested in a wood handle version should PM me so I can order a few extras. I wouldn’t do more than a few but a 2-cell stretch thrower is do-able.

The answer was like they are in my video. Double mode, expect visible PWM on the red low mode… I’d probably expect it on the green low too.

Just bumping this. Been busy over the weekend, but I may have an update on the bare brass pills. I haven’t given up, but since it requires me coordinating with brinyte and Gear Best, I’ll wait till I hear from both parties before I say anything further. Come on, we’re getting there.

BIG UPDATE: 11-18-2015

Ok folks, I didn’t think it would happen… but I got both sides to agree, Gear Best will now stock the bare modules. Gear Best contacted me yesterday and said they could do it. The pricing will be less than $9. That’s all I know. When I asked how much lower, they said wait and see when they list it. Ok. Anyway, so please let me know if anyone needs to update their brass pill quantity or change it. I’m going to buy 2 myself. Also of note, when we reach the group buy a coupon code will be issued. You can order immediately or wait for the warehouse to stock the item in 5-10 business days. Either way it’s 5-10 days before they ship. AND PLEASE UPGRADE TO TRACKED SHIPPING. I have ordered 4 things since my initial orders were lost, and they all arrived because I added the few bucks for tracking.

Also in case anyone is worried about the quality, I did email Archer at Brinyte, when a few people had concerns… Here was the exchange.

I wonder, given that I would be replacing emitter anyway, is there a reason for me to buy white version over red or green ones?
Will the driver on white one supply more amps to the LED than on red/green one?

Tempted to get this light, but also been wondering how good it could be in stock version versus those UltraFire asphericals that cost around the same(non group buy pricing) like those UF15xx and UF14xx?

I dunno for sure. I don’t have a proper set of leads for my multimeter right now. I plan on swapping out both emitter and driver. Were the stock versions of those other lights tested? I don’t have any of them, but my review has plenty of info about outputs and lux.

Since the bare modules are happening, please take out one of each of the color pills and give me 4 bares instead.
