For right now I am going to get to the point. I have discontinued all purchases from Gearbest since July, due to the fact that they are withholding my money, and they will NOT send me the product I ordered multiples of, the OLight M3XS UT Javelot, which was ordered the end of June 2015.
Not only was this order placed in June while it now approaches December for that OLight, but at the rate of change in electronics, prices have dropped; it would be thievery to even believe that just receiving what was ordered back in June can make up for this. I am not a bank. If you need money Gearbest, go to a bank, don’t steal from me.
They blatantly lied to me twice about the same order when questioned where it was. I was told on two separate occasions that “We are inspecting your order for quality”! What? No, I believe I do that. You just ship what I pay you for. H) Who buys that kind of BS? Because, you know, so many Chinese sellers inspect new packages for quality. That to me is an insult, because it implies how stupid they believe we are.
Here’s what they have done besides the lying part of the deal and just keeping my money of course. Both times (replies #2 & #3) I was told 7-10 days before the item would ship, and that’s already months after waiting. Then nothing, zip, notta. Well on the first attempt when it started, I tried to expedite the order since someone was waiting for a build, on the same day as the order. They clearly got that message, because they didn’t ship the item out. Then they waited weeks, and replied to the message I sent the day of the order, asking if I still wanted it expedited, and saying sorry for the delay in response (meanwhile, the other lights of the same model and order time had already showed up at my shipping address). Sorry for the delay in response, though? How about sorry for using scam tactics to attempt to wring more money out of the purchase? Like I said, while I waited for it to ship, I received the others. They were simply trying to get me to pay more to expedite the order even faster, yet due to their delay. I replied each time, “just send the order out please” was the jist of it (I pretty much don’t want to talk to thieves, would rather just get my product and run.). Each time I would reply to send the order, they would wait for days, then send some question that has nothing to do with anything relevant, trying to flip the ticket over like it was waiting on me. I don’t give Chinese companies my primary email. Why? Because my primary email gets no spam at all, the email used for past Chinese orders gets a message every 20 minutes on average. …and that is why the whole thing works that way; you can’t trust these sellers, even with an email address.
This whole experience makes me want to laugh. We let these people advertise here, praise them in some instances, while they sit and scam our members?
Still no response, still no light, still no offer to justify or replace the months of depreciation on a light that isn’t exactly “cheap”. Do NOT buy from Gearbest! Best advice I can give anyone at this point.
I will keep the forum posted on anything that progresses in the situation, though at this point they have completely ignored any reasonable response from me like my message didn’t exist in front of their face.
