I already ordered a clip because I was hoping it was smaller than the normal convoy clip, but it still looks like a very nice clip.

I got my two ec-r16s yesterday. Looks like the plastic disc for reverse polarity protection means you need button tops. Flat tops won’t work. Kinda a bummer, because I wanted to use the 18350s I already had.

One light seems to work okay with my red efest 18350 flat top. The disc is a little loose on the other, so no dice on that one.

I just ordered yet another 18350. a purple efest button top. I figure I can also use it with my blf a6 shorty tube.

The light that begrudgingly works with the flat top is nice. I gave it to my wife. She really digs it. It’s stupid bright for the size and price. The tint isn’t too blue, and it charged the battery to exactly 4.2v. I used my android phone charger. Lol!

Let’s hope the other one works with the button tip on order.

For the record, I personally hope they don’t change a thing (assuming there is a solid emitter shelf). The draw for me is a huge reflector to turn 1600lumens from an XM-L2 into total laser beam. It would be cool if they can do both SMO and OP in the future, but I fear that would raise the price and take a long time to work out. I want this thing as quickly and cheaply as possible.
