Sold out! - GBGB: BLF-348 - Classy and Small 1xAAA Stainless Steel light, with Nichia NVSW219B-V1 R9050

I agree but only partially.

IMO colors look “correct”. On the other hand, they are all a bit more towards “greyish” or something like that.
I think it may be because of higher K but I´m not sure.
Definitely looks a little different than with warmer white Nichias.

One of mine has almost completely “tintless” beam. I cannot honestly tell any colors from the bare beam when pointing at something white and this is new to me 8)

Rs=0.5Ohm

I have two lights, one is throwier than the other, the other is slightly warmer, i think, I will have to have a closer look where that comes from, but I do not expect very precise engineering on a 7 dollar light

Btw, this $7.71 Fasttech light has the exact same build as the gb light (but with a -not fake- Cree XP-E led): https://www.fasttech.com/products/1601/10008272/1741600-mini-pen-style-1-cree-r3-1-mode-240-lumen-cool

Ugh another idiotic post sent to all participants. Next time try harder to resist.

Uh, oh… MountainKing is now on the “s” list!

I suggest everybody to send him a pm >_>.
This is just trolling, and from a senior member I expect better behaviour.
Due to the fact that this was on purpose, it agitates me even more than the other ignorant fools that just can’t read.

Ordered and received my first three lights. So impressed ordered three more. Now every time I order from GB I add one to the order. Perfect Xmas giveaways but will keep a couple for myself.
Can’t believe the quality for the price.

I am extremely sorry guys. I did that as a joke with no intention of irking anyone. I promise this won’t happen again. What I thought would be funny was not well received at all by some members. My most sincere apologies.

I actually thought it was funny. I don’t really understand the anger over a stray few PMs over the course of a month. But others seem to get really upset about it. I have thought about it as a joke, but not every one gets my sense of humor- so I didn’t. On a side note, and not really related to this thread. I have gotten some really nasty comments on my Youtube channel over my humor. Jeeze.

I’m on this train with you all. Don’t worry about it. Its not that big of a deal. Others are going to be upset; so be it.

I actually see it the opposite as some of the commenters above. You did it on purpose, in jest, as a joke. It fell flat for some, but that’s how you meant it. The other PM replies from folks who couldn’t be bothered to read the original PM for instructions bother me more. That’s just laziness.

You already know this, but your YouTube videos and your sense of humor are awesome!

Just ignore the haters. ;)

+1

Thanks guys!

Well, in my case, when I receive A pm, I expect it to be from a GB or something that I am participating in, a great deal, or a reply from something I asked. At least something important.

When I receive a mail notification and I rush to the site to read, only to find out it’s an idiot that can’t read or a joke, that annoys me.

Oh, and your video reviews on youtube? Those I love.
The jokes make them so much better to watch then just 2 boring hands that show the light and tell the specs and such. Although very informative, I like yours way better.

Thanks man!

The stock clips seem better this year — last year’s stock clips seemed to slip off the lights I have all too easily.
I bought CNQ clips a while back, to have for this year’s lights. I still like the CNQ clips a little better.
But this year’s CNQ clips came rather dirty-looking, which makes me wonder if they’ll eventually corrode.
Lottery, lottery ….

The ideal ‘clip’ for me is still the very simple — and unavailable — “Preon ring” that came with those lights — just a ring that fits around the threads, with a little tiny tab with a hole in it just big enough to take a split ring.
They came with the Preons in the past. Nicely polished rounded edges, not just punched out of sheet metal, and black enameled or anodized.

Bother.

You need more? I bought several Cnq clips but like the stock ones better.

No holes in any of the three of my lights.

Seems like there are some variations in manufacture. :sushi:

.

Instead of getting upset, now, I just simply put a block on the sender.

Not a perfect solution, but works for me.

This batch should be without that hole. I asked for it, but Factory refused to do it.. (probably a tooling issue - or just too costly to manufacture)

That being said, they may have had some spare bodies from some earlier batch. (just assembling them with the Nichia emitter). If you got one with a hole, be happy with it. If not, you got what we ordered. :)

None of the samples and all of my lights I have opened/checked have had the hole.

As for the FT light being the same, that's mostly correct. However, the switch might be different (more loose, rattling, softer spring). That was one of the changes the factory did for us. :)
