This BLF-348 is a much better flashlight than I expected it would be. Tint and beam are excellent. The BLF-348 is a perfect around-the-house light. I have also experimented carrying it as an EDC light, but it may not have enough modes for that. Heretofore, my EDC has used AA or 18650. I find myself liking the diminutive size of AAA.
I agree with ToyKeeper that a 2-mode version might be nice. My only concern is PWM. One advantage of the single-mode light is the absence of PWM.
I suppose we should be having this discussion in the new thread when it starts, but I agree on differentiating the new buy somehow, preferably with an extra mode. I’d be in on that for sure.

Another batch would be nice, but don’t lower the high mode if the driver changes- that is one of the things that sets this light apart from the rest. Other multi-modes in a similar size can be bought for a reasonable price now though some are twistys. Let’s keep things simple and let’s keep BLF SE lights something very special.
And let’s go for something a little different if we do a ‘round 2’ GB, even though I think we’ve hit the bullseye with this one- adding a useable keychain hole would be enough to get me to buy even more.

Got mine today. The tint is the cleanest white I’ve ever seen. Everything else looks blue, green or yellow in comparison.
If there’s going to be another GB with Nichia LEDs, I’ll be sure to participate again.
We checked this from manufacturer. They are not manufacturing these special models to anyone else than us (= me & Gearbest) => I would be very careful with the above mentioned aliexpress store as you 'd most probably receive fakes (or silver coin or nothing).
Just received my 2nd batch of these lights. First one was impressive, but now something went wrong. Tint is much warmer than my former ones with some green hint and the emitter itself is too yellow to be a nichia. I will try to post some beamshots and pictures of this, but I can only think it’s a regular cree in a BLF engraved tube.
Update: pics linked below. Experts please, should I start a claim on this?
Not an expert by any means, but that second LED doesn’t look like a Nichia to me…
Definitely with a wrong emitter. Please contact Gearbest support and ask for replacement.
If they don't have any replacements left, I'll send you one of mine. :)

Just rcv'd my qty 2, finally - was shippped 11/06.
- On a used AAA cell, I got 49 lumens
- On a new EFEST 10440 @4.21v, I got lumens: 238 @start, 168 @30 secs with a steady drop and got pretty hot. After a min or so of rest, it returned to about 238 lumens.
Real nice white tint.
Ordered mine on Nov 14. Still Waiting… And part of me hopes I don’t like it because if I do, I should have ordered more! :zipper_mouth_face:

It’s still a decent light but I bought mine specifically for the Nichia. Guess I’ll open up a trouble ticket.

Mine finally came today after work! But I think I got a yellow one like you did. Is one of them engraved and the other isn’t?
Both are engraved and should be BLF editions not the regular singfire one, that’s what bothers me the most.
