A safety tip for taking the kids out tonight for treat or tricking

Well I got this idea from my 18 months daughter:

I was kinda worry about taking 3 of my children out for treat or tricking because we live in a city ( dfw area) and the folks here are always seems to be very busy when driving. Then when i saw my daughter playing with the candy jar and drop her OWN incandescent disney princess flashlight ( yeah i start her too early) in there i got an idea.

This helps me easier to keep track of my kids, it is not easy trying to keep track of 3 sugar-high energizer bunnies in a halloween night with kids running around. All i did is using painters tape and tape any small flashlight in the bottom of the candy jar. Painter's tape come off easily and doesn't leave a gooey stuff behind

But the REAL question to some of you flashaholics, I "know" some of you can't wait to take the kids out for treat or tricking tonight, Which flashlight are you taking?

I"m bringing my favorite Sunwayman V10A and the DRY fatty (I love that form factor)

Well my kids are all grown up with 1 in college and the other getting ready to start college next year. But you have fun tonite and be safe.

You are bringing your DRY? What the....

Yes sir. The area we going to have a lot of big open lands (this is texas :) )and this is my chance to really have a good use for it.

But i think i will use the V10A most of the time there.

If i know i'm going to be out when it's dark i always carry my DRY with me :p. Otherwise i rely on my generic 40 lumen flashlight.

And i figure if my kids ever lost their way, i just put the Dry on turbo and they could see the beam in the sky and find the way to daddy

Don't cause any plane crashes

Dry and match's mod mini mag with a R5. I think I'll let my daughter carry the MPP-1 as her "lightsaber" since she is going as a Jedi.

I'm in the DFW area also and that is a great idea! I think i'll tape the dry to the bottom on medium. Soften the candy for her.

We went out on Friday Night. It was cold and dark.

I gave each of my children a Life Gear Lightstick to wear. It's like of like the old chemical light stick design, but it runs on (3) AG3 batteries. I gave them all Orange to wear since it was halloween. Here is what they look like in green...

In my front pocket, I carried my single 18650 XM-L:

In my back pocket, I carried my XM-L T6 Aspheric Mag (2D Grey). It was running 4AA batteries, direct drive (4.5Amp) and set to flood mode.

Halloween is always a great time of the year to corrupt innocent little minds - by turning them all into flashaholics! You can never be to safe with your kids and LED's are a great way to make them more visible. But why stop there when you can also tangle them up in EL wire?

Kits are very reasonable and can be found on ebay and many other places. I was thinking about putting some on one of my bicycles.

LOL. I was thinking UFO landing. ;)

Myself, I won't be carrying anything crazy bright. This is Sparta, uh, I mean suburbia - I don't want to blind people and I don't need throw. Probably something in a AA form factor or maybe some multi-mode P7.

I will be bringing my 4D 10 amp sst90 aspheric mag and my XML updated spiderfire SSC p7 (4+ amps).
Should be overkill enough.

Why waste your time with those silly little lights while killing your night vision? If you really want to blind everyone on the block, why not just install one of these on the roof of your car?
