18650 TrustFire Flames 2400 mAh Battery Test

You mean TF Flames, right? Everything I have read has said that the UF's do not come close to matching their rated capacities. I have only seen one mention of testing the 3000 mah TF FLames. Still looking for it.

Oh yeah...hehe...Trustfire Flames and not Ultrafire Flames.

Just checking. Wouldn't surprise me if Ultrafire didn't come out with their own "Flames" wrapper to try to confuse newbies. :)

Yes. I read that recently also somewhere that the 3000mah Trustfires are about 2600 mah, tested slightly better than the consistently rated Trustfire Flames that usually test at 2450mah.

Wonder why they didn't just call them Trustfire Flame PLUS with extra 100-150 mah.

I've not read anything good about Ultrafires - but the ones I got from 200 miles away in 2days are good compared to the Blue Ultrafires.

As I said these are rated *3600 mah( ridiculous ) but have an engraved Ultrafire logo on negative end plate- anyone seen that before ?

Maybe we should have a list of USA Suppliers- for when people need the them quickly- but I know this is an international Forum.

*Maybe they mean 3600 mah per PAIR

No problem here with a list of US suppliers even though I live on another continent. Many people here do live on the American continent.

Only problem for me is that the US post costs a lot more than China/HK Post.

And our Customs are a lot more interested in stuff from the US than stuff from China.

Go ahead - I may not be able to benefit from US only offers, but many folks here can.

For me some times the USA cost more to ship to Australia so a good hon kong or china online store is priceless and shipping time is about the same.
I have some more tables to post when I get home from work as I did not have time to post last night.
Is most people understanding the tables ? I’ll do a key also when I finsh work if that helps but the main ones to look at is far left charge time, accu V battery or batteries voltage and mAh how long the battery will last

#6 mAh test @ 1amp with an internal resistance of 160 milliohm,s

start of the test @ 1 amp

end of the test @ 1 amp

3.5v to 4.19 v @ 2413 mAh not bad in my book, i have pulled apart a couple more to check they have two mosfet's on the pcb,s (IC's) and they do, i also have given my old man 4 x trustfire flames that all tested very close or above 2400 mAh, i will test the new trustfire flames i have coming to make sure they are on par with my used ones i have tested.

tonight i will order some claimed topself batteries and when they get here i will compair tail cap readings to these used trustfire flames and post the results on here and maybe next week ill get some xtar,s and compare them also

trustfire flames brought from manafont get my thumb,s up

i have brought 2 x redilast 2600 2 x hi-max 2600 and 2 x solarforce 2400 batteries to compair tail cap readings to, ill update this post over the next couple few weeks

Thank you for sharing benckie

Thanks- I got the Redilast 2900 mah and it's really powerful, don't have test equipment but runs hotter and about 30% longer in my little Torch.

Guessing the 2900 is definitely
"The Real Deal" higher current delivery( when needed ) for longer period of time guessing about 20% more than a good 2400mah battery and 30%+ more than some Ultrafires.( and of course many batteries can not deliver the really high amperage this Redilast can deliver).

Tip to test whether taller batteries will fit- a penny is about 1.4 millimeters thick so you can check whether your appliances ( don't plug your charger in ) will fit the longer batteries by adding a penny or 2 to make sure before you order the 18700 size or the taller hi performance cells.

No problem

Not sure if every one understands the charge/discharge tabes so ill try and help out with the table's with a simple discription.

Zenit [s] is time of the charge or discharge cycle it is updated every 2 seconds.

Input [V] is how much volts my power supply is giving my Ichager 106B+

Voltage accu [V] is battery or batteries voltage

Current [A] is how many amps the charger is charging or discharging the battery or batteries.

Capacity [mAh] is how long the battery will last under load a 2400 mAh battery should be able to give 2.4 amps for one hour till empty.

so if testing a Trustfire Flame Battery 2400 mAh and it test close to or above 2400 mAh it is good.

i would not worry about the other ones on the table's and this is the simplify discription version, i hope this helps

this is the set up ive been using for the charge / discharge and internal resistance testing of these used and abused cell,s

this is why i say you have to take into account the rare earth magnets, my soldering and so on when i do internal resistance testing as i belive the 8 x 8 mm magnets and my soldering will make the test's read a bit higher then they actualy are when it comes to internal resistance (IR) but the mAh and voltage readings will be fine.

Are the Trust flames from BuyinCoins legit? Will go with either BIC or Mana, but can get 10% off with BIC and wanna order a bunch of other stuff from them aswell!

Thanks!

Every battery ive brought from BuyinCoins has been fake i have brought some really bad peforming 18650,s and NIMH batteries from there, the 18650,s where recycled laptop batteries that took less then then 60% of the claimed mAh and the NIMH took less then 1/3 of the claimed mAh i have also got some dodgy deals on cheap torches from there aswell every deal sofar has been a waste of time trying to get some money back for the junk i was sent, just my experience.

The new trustfire flames got here yesterday 3.84v and 3.82v on opening the packet, discharged them to 3v and let the rest then charged at 0.5 amp the first one took just over 2500 mAh. The second one is charging now and when I get home from work I'll post up the data sheet's and the IR of the batteries, but sofar they are looking good and are performing well.

Are this trustfire of manafont or buyincoins?

I will not give buyincoins any more money all the batteries I've tested on this thread are from Manafont !

The ones I got from buyincoins all seem to work just as good as those from DX or Manafont.

Ilikeflasklights have you tested the mAh or it's a guess, cause the ones I've tested from there are under performers.
