However I already wrote back on my ticket to have it closed. I was having a hard time get a good comparison pic on how the tint is drastically different to another light I have a Nichia 219B 5000k in & while the tint appears to be off it not as if it’s a puke green or something. Thus for $6~$7 it seems to be too much trouble to get a decent beamshot. As is it’s a decent enough of a light where I’ll just close the ticket.
Afterall perhaps it really is a Nichia 219B 5000k but the tint just looks different b/c it’s in this lens & this reflector (at least I’ve always felt these variables affect an LED’s tint.)

You can bet if I receive my next one and it ain't the nichia, I would for sure get another one delivered. That's the ONLY reason I purchsed the BLF 348. First one received was perfect...waiting on the second.
A picture side by side of two differing tints is all it would take. :|

Just got my 5, all are fine. The return address is Staten Is, NY so mine probably came from the US warehouse as part of the first batch made; it would be unlikely they had a second batch shipped here that quickly. I did pay for the fast shipping or mine would have probably come from China and been from a different batch.

Wow, good thing I ordered 2 (engraved) before it sold out. Fortunately due to my closer proximity to China purchases from GB usually arrive in 2 weeks tops, and that's including the 2-3 days at customs 
If anybody is interested, I just checked Gearbest and it appears they have 2 engraved lights left in stock.
I think I just bought those… Just started my collection of AAA led flashlights and I was wondering why I didn’t see these before. Probably because they were sold out.

Well, I hope they do a second run next year — with a moonlight/very low level added.
This is a do-almost-everything flashlight, the best I’ve found to give as a gift along with a couple of AAA Eneloops and a simple NiMH charger.
Ideal to give people who are still using 2D incandescent flashlights and alkaline cells.
There might be another batch. :) But no option for 2 mode - I think that would ruin the original idea of easy to use light that is more than well suited for gifting.
[And.. Despite of my preference stated above, I asked for 2 mode and manufacturer said "no".. They don't have a suitable driver.]

Has anyone nodded the driver for lower output? I want to give my little girl one but she has a tendency to shine lights in people’s faces.
I’m good with a lower output, maybe half of the original.
Just buy an MXDL AAA and don’t bother every time she drops it on tile floor.
Mine finally arrived. Ordered two on November 22, arrived today December 14 in California, a day before my birthday.
I’m stoked on these things. I wish I bought a dozen of them to give away to coworkers and friends for Christmas. I only bought two, and I would feel bad giving only one away, so I keep the engraved version, and my 3 year old daughter gets the plain one for Christmas.
It’s perfect because its bright enough to be useful, but not too bright if she accidentally shines herself (or someone else) in the eyes.
