Ultimate aspherical flashlight set / Uniquefire 1508

I don't have buying link.

They are released on alibaba Uniquefire site.

Let me see....

very interested in this idea, not just for this light, but any light. Different heads, tubes, LEDs, all in a case. Could satisfy many needs. More info.

Weight: 482g (excluding battery)

:open_mouth:

It has some good features.

Wow

If they just released this one before all the others... I have too many aspheric zoomies already.

Nevertheless, I'm curious about the quality of the lenses.

An interesting concept- let’s see how it flies!

another group buy? what is the current to the LED?

Someone needs to take one for the team, and buy one to review.

Looks interesting. The option of 1 mode is nice, although I would like to see it driven a little higher than 2.5amp.

NICE!!! 8) Can we have a LEGO flashlight for use with aspheric or reflector and maybe solid copper pills to swap emitters (XM-L2, XP-G2, XM-L Hi, UV, etc)

i would have to have one of these.

Interesting, i wish they would do a 74mm 1504/1405 head.

It’s nice, but sort of takes the fun and excuse out of owning multiple flashlights. Would there be a significant difference in throw with the 74mm over the 67mm?

Now if only it didn’t say unique fire….

Guys I see that you are not familiar with this design so I will talk about this:

This is Dereelight focusing system. They copy-pasted Dereelight which is pretty expensive aspherical flashlight.

But they did not only copy pasted they also improved it.

- So now you have mono main tube without redundant parts (Bibihang from this forum is well familiar with redudant parts dereelight uses :) ),

- Finger swappable brass pill

I don't know yet... But if they managed to get Dereelight lenses vendor; lenses should have at least 20% more throw than older 15.. series(1503, 1504 etc.)

Derellight has much better lenses than Uniquefire and now we got to see if they use same lenses as in 15.. series or new better one.

Edit: More about focusing system: This focusing system does not have stop for fully focused beam like 15.. series have. It is normal to go in overfocus or underfocus with this system if you want. But in my experience if they really use Dereelight lenses it will probably not have very good defocus mode(flood mode). So maybe it will not be as good as real zoomie flashlight. We yet have to see that.

15.. Series of flashlights have much better flood mode + they have focus stop and faster focusing action than my Dereelight flashlights.

But anyway I would chose this dereelight system over 15.. system anytime.

Cheers!

Hi, been not around BLF for quite some time (due to some personal issues) until one of my flashaholic friends informed me about this new Uniquefire zoomie.

Yes, as what luminarium iaculator said the Xsearcher has redundant parts which is what I don’t like about them. I used to work on my friend’s Xsearcher, and the neck assembly is just ridiculous to say the least - Those who have one or at least seen one know what I’m talking about.

I have not seen the teardown of this new Uniquefire light yet, but from the pictures it looks like everything is quite straight forward, which is a good thing for modders… and did I mention that the 74mm lens is really something? I was able to mod and produce 400kcd with my 1405 (which has 66mm lens), so with this 74mm lens I believe it can easily achieve 500kcd, or even 600kcd when properly tuned.

I would like to know what is the driver diameter that the pill can accept? Hopefully it can accept something around 21mm.

I just noticed, no more ridiculous fat focus ring like the 1504/1405 has  that was a feature i really didn’t like on the 1504.
