you can check pin assignment in the datasheet of the respective FET.

I pulled it off my zy-t08 driver and was too eager to try it to look it up. I’ll do some poking on the t08 driver to see where each leg went.

turns out to be the opposite of the FET used in the OP. Either needs to be rotated 180 degrees or mounted right-side-up. I chose right side up and isolated the back/bottom pad of the fet with kapton tape.

Always a good idea to search the code on an unknown FET. Not all or even close to all of them are appropriate to this usage. Look for the PDF data sheets with pinouts, drain source resistance, and gate voltage. If you don’t understand them then post a link to the PDF so it can be checked.

Guys I need fresh FET source (Ebay or others) cause it seems old links from this thread no longer works.

So please if anyone have fresh links for FET we use with this driver.

i have been thinking about trying this mod as well, but my programming-efforts so far have been limited to buying the hardware.
I was thinking about the mosfets mtn have, would one of them be good for this mod? and if, which one? AMC7135

LFPAK-56 is the correct form factor. It is the same fet richard uses on his MTN dd17 and other drivers.

That looks just like one I have. Guys I don't know even what FET is :) but I know how to build this driver(thanks to Djozz) so I really don't know what would be better.

What to choose?

I mean if I need to solder differently than mentioned on this thread than it can be problem?

Just today I made a AK-47-A +FET driver for a Brynite B158 pill, the led is an Oslon Black Flat, that draws 3.8A on a 30Q. I tested this small 1x1mm die led today, and although it tested really impressive, in the Brynite I get 'just' 285kcd throw, where I hoped for close to 400. Apparently a 1x1mm die is not imaged well enough, too small for the Brynite lens.

It seems that no led can dethrone mighty XP-G2 S4 2B 285 kcd for B158 is really low no matter how funny it sounds :) . It is an exceptional flashlight. But now we know which led we should stick to.

In fact I done about 60 of them. They are running without issues in plenty of flashlight hosts. I just got inspiration with new batch so I just wanted to show you some, and I think I am not the only one that is doing them. You managed to spread this FET virus around the globe :)

When I saw this thread I asked myself: " jerk why the hell are you loosing time on stacking chips? Try that cause this Djozz guy really knows the modding stuff..." , and when I done few of them I realized that in fact you are one incredible guy cause you unselfishly show me how to make perfect driver for my needs.

So what is the best board now for this kinda mod?

Is it possible to make it starts on Turbo/HI?

I got to tell that with last BG order I ordered 20 AK47 C1 driver and I got mixed order! They send me 10x AK47 C1 and 10x nanjg rohs 111 (1050mah) which is the crappiest single mode driver I ever seen. After paypal fight they refunded half of the money.

At start they did not wanted to refund claiming that nanjg 111 rohs is new version of AK47c1 :)

So maybe we need to start finding that on other sources (KD, DX, ali or other...)

I simply can't trust them after this incident.

Ai, just last night I ordered 5 AK-47-C1 drivers from BG. I will prepare for battle .

Maybe you'll be more lucky. They had good drivers until last order. Their drivers are with this mode order high-med-low without memory effect. DX are lo-mid-high without memory effect.

Ordered too , will be back in stock at 01-30-2016
