Quickest and most reliable Gearbest shipping method right now: America Line / IB

Agree with this. Usually get my order in 1-2 weeks.

My (2) x 4pcs (at different times) of Gearbest’s Samsung 26F ‘Protected’ arrived Clean… Looking like New, though not very well packed.

I don’t use protect cells as a matter of course, but some lights will require that extra length to work correctly - My Olight SR52-UT is one of them, or all three cells will not be in contact, and so, you will run two of the cells down and one of them is still fully charged - They are all in parallel. - 1s/3p. - As such, it will run even if you only put one cell in it. - I have since changed the cells in this light to 3x LG/MH1 3200mAh, Protected EVVA from RMM. - Really a shame to have to run protected cells in a 1s/3p light, but they will not all make contact without the extra length. :frowning:

But I digress…

After seeing all of the ugly pics of the Gearbest 30Q’s on here, I lost my desire to order any :frowning:

But I do understand that they actually ‘work’ just fine, once you get them cleaned up.

‘Most’ of my cutting edge, high-end cells I will order from Mtn. Electronics, AKA RMM - Richard. - I know that I can Always Trust him to deliver proper goods!

However, I have been known to at times go ‘slumming about and whoring around’, and have dealt with the likes of FT and eBay for some LG’s. - Good results according to my Lil 500 ‘discharger’, so I still have a clean bill of health… But, Please don’t tell Richard - Ok?

Perhaps I just got lucky?

Thank you,
-Chuck

.

Understood,

Li-Ion cells are a different matter altogether, and is something that Gearbest needs to work on.

They can only be shipped by certain methods.

If you want your stuff Fast, NEVER EVER include a battery in your order - Use a separate order for them, or there will likely be a delay.

In fact, as crazy as it may sound, I only order ONE thing at a time. - I think there is better odds to actually get what you want that way. - Yeah it costs a bit more that way, but I have so far received everything that I have ordered.

In other words, if I want “this” and “this” and “that” - I place 3 orders for those three things.

They don’t speak my language and I don’r speak theirs, so I choose to just keep it as simple as possible.

Works for me!

Thanks,
-Chuck

The priority direct option is still misleading and still considered standard shipping even though it has listed estimated delivery time of 3-7 business days. I would say that the majority of buyers would say that the time frame is considered “expedited” just as the dhl option. I have used this option and within 2 weeks I got what I ordered but it’s misleading & tracking is hassle with smart post labels/#’s.

For me, the American IB is mostly delivered within 2 weeks, but gearbest takes so long to actually hand the package over to the shipping entity that it ends up not being much faster than the free shipping methods offered elsewhere.

This American “IB” sounds great, I just wish I could get it

.

Uhmm,

Ya think? - I’m talking about how long it takes from the time that they say it has been ‘shipped’, to the time to when the ‘Shipper’ actually has it.

It is curious how that Banggood says that something is shipped in 24hrs, and they most of the time they do, but Gearbest quotes 3-5 days.

It might be true that GB does not ever really have all this stuff in stock, and are shipping (drop shipping) from many locations that are not actually their own?

I don’t know about anyone else, but I have NEVER received a package that actually said Banggood or Gearbest on it for a return address. - Anyone?

I dunno, but I will continue, because I’m a sucker for the good deals…

I'd think GearBest saves $$$ by going with cheaper shipping services and handlers - there's middle guys involved, you get what you pay for, and looks like GearBest passes on the savings to us - good and bad, all depends how lucky/patient you are.

Just recently ordered the BLF D80 by "Priority Direct" mail and tracking number issued today starts with "IB". Here's to hoping for a much speedier delivery than in the past... :quest:

I did the same with my BLF D80. So far no issues!

track on myib.com

I guess this is the most reliable method, but I still haven’t received my light yet. What’s worse is that gearbest website tracking data shows it delivered two days ago… I have a ticket with them now, but I’m not hopeful. This may be the second time I’ve lost the gearbest lottery.

You got an IB #? If so, what does myib.com say? Mine worked well.

This is a current order of mine in progress of shipping: http://www.myib.com/tracking/default?j=1&tnum=IB14524508785575

This is one I received: http://www.myib.com/tracking/default?j=1&tnum=IB14505349515933.

It's not super fast, but it's trackable, predictable so far at least...

yeppers, mine shows at ib.com. so far so good..shall see

Many or most of the big sellers do not carry stock themselves. They either sell the items and have the person that has the stock ship it, or they have the stock come to them and then ship it. Most do not have a huge warehouse. What they do is to use the Taobao Chinese E-network for shopping and buy from smaller sellers, or direct from manufacturers. It's a nightmare from what I have learned. There are literally thousands of very small shops for all kinds of things and those shops might carry just a few items, or bunches of items, stuffed in their small shops. Think of a giant strip mall with nothing but small stores and that's kind of how it works. The big sellers are basically just resellers, buying from wherever stuff is and reselling, or drop shipping. It ends up being a cluster ____ many times, for us and for them. but it is what it is.

The fact that you do not actually know who actually handles the stuff, makes for a bunch of complaints on broken items, items packed poorly, scratches and scuffs, etc. It's bad for the seller, because they probably did not handle the stuff themselves, but they are still responsible and they get shafted too, so it is just a big mess with no solution on the horizon. Billions of dollars and billions of items ship this way.

I’m testing them right now to see if I will ever order from them again. They shipped out two SK68’s to me on Nov. 29 so $3.98 will determine if I ever use them again. To be fair, they did take good care of me after I received a fake S2+ and had two missing orders.

Nah, I got a UF number for mine. Even the picture they are supposed to show of the package before it ships doesn’t show up on the website. Which is odd because it shows up for my other packages. Myib nor 17track can find the tracking information.

Well, the test didn’t go so well and I’m not even gonna bother with the 4 bucks.

IB has worked great for me. Tracking actually updates, takes 11-15 days depending on how slow USPS is here.

The Sweden post option took 5 weeks……

So I follow up with another order (Ganzo knife) and choose same Priority Direct mail and this order is not trackable by International Bridge as last order (D80 SE) was. The tracking number for this knife order is given, but there is no way to track it. Even on GB website tracking shows as “undefined”.

So WTH did I pay the extra postal fee for. Seems like a rip to me. This knife order was placed on Feb 20 shipped out on Feb 22. So I guess I’ll see what happens from here.

Maybe the 20 digit tracking number I got that begins with a “7” will be trackable soon in US? I’m guessing so. But last order through International Bridge seems far superior to this guessing game.

Again, maybe it is because the order is a knife? Dunno. :-/
