News Alert: DinoDirect Probably Won't Get Anymore Of My Business

I ordered a pair of these TF flames..what's up with the main post? where does this come from? last I hear these were legit? now they're not?

It all seems to be adding up...

Just IMHO, any TF flames you get from anyplace are questionable now and before. it is a crap shoot. It's Nov. 2011, TF flames have been reported as good cells n the past. What happens when something gets "hot", They fall off. Especially in the China battery market. Popularity can kill a product/quality in 8 days. With other distros/manufactures hawking it.

Maybe we can get them banned from here? I ordered a pair yesterday, but as far as I can tell I can't cancel my order because I didn't create an account before ordering them :(

nah man last I heard DD flames are good from 2100..so I order a pair...wtf now they're not? how does this change..ILF why are they f'ing you? let us know...

If you get a protected pair then all is well. My point is that DD needs to put a foot you know where on the distributor. They will not survive as a stand alone or ebay listed powerseller long. As I stated in my other post on the 504b deal bad press can go far and is not to be ignored. ILF and if Summer reads this need to chime in about the goings on. It may just be a warehouse error or is it what DD has been accused of in the past. If the latter then shame, BLF voices are loud!

yeah thats shit...paypal claim if my batts are not as claimed..

Well DD the line has been drawn...

I myself have not been involved in this particular deal, but it's on you to fix this....

BLF members have spoken.

pounder and others on here are not happy. Fix it or be flooded with PP disputes

i have a pair in the air right now... hoping they get them right

Dinodirect does not have a clue about protected and un-protected batteries and how much level of devastation it may cause with the un-protected.

However this is not new.Months back I received a item which is completely different from what is ordered. Since the numbers printed in the item are correct. their CS staff is not ready to accept. It got resolved after many rounds of talk though.Summer or whom ever was/is trying to build nice for them but their other department[s]are screwing up bit time. They have got them self to blame.

You could have gone back and changed the subject of your original post by editing it, instead of posting a new one. Also it would have been a good idea to choose the correct forum from the beginning (rechargeable batteries, good deals, or dealer feedback) and post the message in only one place. Now we have something like 4 active threads in several different forums about DD batteries.

I did this the way I thought was the best way to handle it for not only me but for others. Some folks only read the titles of the threads and go there only a couple times and then seem to take it for what they read then as all well. So that is why I posted this thread to correct what I stated earlier as I thought was all good. Really it is something that was overlooked by me that I didn't even think I needed to look for since I thought for sure they would be protected cells. I was wrong, but the real wrong lies in the hands of Dinodirect and their reputation of trying to screw their customer base with wrong doings just like others have said here in the past and why a thread has been made here stating all of this same type behavior and their bad tactics. I now understand.

Probably free flashlights are going to be offered now, or free coupons to order more from them. Like the last time.

Well, at lest we know their reviews are taken from Amazon and are real.

And yes I have been told that I am getting a full refund. But that is beside the point that needs to be addressed here. Now I don't work at Dino-Direct nor would I want too. But what are the chances that this was a mistake on their part. When you order a orange, you don't expect a lemon so to speak. When others order oranges, and get lemons then that says a lot to me that I would hate to see what you would get if you ordered a lemon. No more needs to be said. This says a lot about a company and trust is not something I choose to hope the best for when it comes to how a company will do and uphold as one of their first standards of business.

And right now I and a lot of others here don't trust Dino-Direct.

sounds like you’re having a love hate relationship :stuck_out_tongue:

I think this is partially unfair ... You started a thread and complained before you gave them a chance to fix it ...in just a matter of days they fully refund your money and you're ripping on them ??

..what more do you want from them . I'm not trying to be a jerk when you're mad about not getting what you ordered ...but you have free batteries and your cash back all in a matter of days .....Huh ... talk to me when you've had 4 month long heated battles with companies ..and lose because paypal sided with the seller ... i'm just saying ...they took care of business ...and fast ...that's all I want ..i can deal with that .

Noodles ....your statement about product changing after a release and high demand is one of the most insightful well stated comments I've heard in a while .

Even you didn't notice the difference at first and ordered more (I think I have that right, but maybe not), so it isn't hard to believe that DD made an honest mistake in mixing the products up. I'm sure some of the fault lies with the supplier and with Trustfire for not making the labels distinct (used to be easier when they had different color labels for protected and unprotected).

If they're giving you a full refund, then it sounds like they've done pretty well by you, and I agree with Boaz that you jumped the gun in not letting them resolve the issue before you declared they ripped you off. Quite to the contrary, you have gotten some pretty good unprotected cells for free at DD's expense. I don't think the Chinese dealers have big profit margins in the first place and refunding so many orders of batteries has to be a painful loss for them.

I said it before and I will say it again only order Trustfire Flames from DX ot Manafont. Some newbie is going to order these because they are cheap assume they are protected put them in a DRY , Skyray or some other triple X light and we are going to see a boom post. I know this is budget light but when it comes to batteries safety needs to come before price. Sorry you got ripped.

You guys have made your points and that again is all good and you are entitled to your opinion. But I doubt many will trust Dino-Direct here since they have only seem to add to their bad reputation that they have brought on all by theirself amongst members here including myself to testify that they a toss-up company on when it comes to doing business the correct way the first time and you actually getting what you ordered. This was the very first order that I made with them besides all the bad rep that hey had received here. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I won't do that again. Now you do business with who you want and you spend your money how you want. And you type what you want in these forums how you feel you need to as long as you stay within the rules and be respectful toward others, I personally could care less what you do or how you say it. That is your right. Now that isn't meant to be smart, but rather just stating my thoughts just like you have stated yours here.

I think this is one of the lighter situations and DD did make it right. Also, it's not too uncommon to mix up protected and unprotected batteries. However, DD has a history of shady practices so this basically tips the scale, even if it's unintentional. With all the retail options out there I have no need for a company like this. They have too much history of shady business practice to warrant choosing them over the competitors. Hit them where it hurts and reward their competitor. Only then will we see change. What's their incentive to change what still works for them? But I will still say the battery mix up could easily be a mistake and they made right by quickly giving a refund. See.. I'm unbiased :D

We're on your side and know how it feels ... believe me we do .
