Man, I am jealous. I really "need" a V3. Quite simply; it seems like it's just a superb flashlight and it's what a high-end/high performance light should look like.

I see it's made from 7075 aluminum, so what else has been upgraded over the 7G3?
Because it's still being sold for $75 from SBFlashlights. I guess that was a good deal until the 7G5 was listed for $78 from intl-outdoor :P
They are different Flashlights.
Different head, more fins. 3 vs 4
XM-L T6 vs XM-L U2
Broader working voltages, or let's say different working voltages 2.8 - 9 V to 3.7 -16V
Most probably the reflector is bigger.
Different clicky, momentary on vs memory ....
7G3 can be used with one 18650,
7G5 can be used with 2 x 18500 or 2 18650 or 3xcr123A or the rest of the options

Still, I would think they're discontinuing the 7G3 since it's been discounted for a while now. I know it definitely used to be sold for more than $75 in the USA.
i prefer v3 due to it's design and finishing wise. V3 body is made from thick aluminium (this could be the thickest flashlight body that i have so far)

Pls don't check out those prices listed at CPF/CPFM. Most are pretty high and some are daylight robbery at 30% higher even after coupon discounts (esp Fenix). But pls don't tell them that i said it, coz they will say customer support lah....service, courtesy lah. 
For me just send it out within 2 days, i receive it in due time (6-12 working days for HK - SIN), can return if there are issues......competitive price (no need to be absolutely cheapest quote), answer emails and don't have to be perfect English. A-OK! And of coz don't mess up my order....so far all my stuff don't DOA.

So from the info that we have thus far, which would you guys reckon between the Sunwayman T40CS and this light throws better...? I'm itching to buy a thrower just need to decide which one.

Zenbaas, Sunwayman TC40S is a hair better than Cat V2 XM-L (according to selfbuilt's tests). In my tests, Crelant 7G5 beat the Cat V2 XM-L by a good margin, so when it comes to pure specs and results on paper, it's better thrower.
However, difference between 50K lux/1m and 60K lux/1m is not that substantial in real use. If you are unable to see something, shining the 50K light, you probably won't see it with 60K light either. So, whichever light you choose, you will have a very good thrower. Each light has is own strenghts and weak points. I guess, more universal would be TC40S. It's made by a reputable company and built quality is outstanding (if it's the same as other Sunwayman products). Yet, it's unmodable and there's poor chance, user can do something to tweak (or repair) it by himself. Crelant 7G5 is like a heavy tuned car. Sure, it's impressive... hard driven LED, extreme deep reflector, throw like no other XM-L light. You have an access to all main parts. But the company is not well known, I guess the support or customer service is non-existent, etc. If you have lots of other lights (like me), 7G5 is like a cherry on the top of whole collection. It's like supercar built by some fanatics. If it has to be your only "daily driver" thrower, I would buy something more trusty and known.
By the way... I'm going to visit my friend right now. On the way back, I'll try to do some beamshots. However, nights are foggy lately, so I'm not sure if they come off good.
Oh... and above there was mentioned about 7075 alloy. Yes, it's more heavy-duty alloy. Tensile strenght is bigger than in 6061 T6. But 7075 has worse thermal conductivity, so it's a tradoff.

Having looked at selfbuilt’s beam comparison pics between the T40CS and the catapult I prefer the beam profile of the catapult as it appears to have more usable spill compared to the sunwayman. That’s also why I’m so curious to see the crelant in action. The pics of the light on intl outdoors looks promising. I hear what you have to say about warranty etc on the sunwayman versus the crelant but the Flashlights both look very well constructed so I don’t foresee any problems. The T40CS is also quite a bit more pricey than the crelant last time I checked.
I wonder how the hotspots differ between these lights. Interesting times

There was no fog... but it was windy and cold. I was frozen to the marrow...
Hotspot of Catapult is the same as hotspot from Crelant, when considering size. But the second one is more intense.
