The smallest-brightest flashlight you have

Smallest Maratac AAA SS BB and ITP A3 - brightest Brinyte PD03A (at least on AAA)

iTP A1 EOS Stainless steel.

I'm not sure about running a 10440 battery in the latest incarnations of the ld01. I think some the newer versions are current controlled instead of PWM regulated.

It was my Quark MiniX 123 but now it's my wife's XTAR Wk20. So, since that light is no longer mine, I guess it's still the Quark.

My Tank007 TK-703, modded to run DD from a single 10440 cell is almost always in my pocket. It gets warm quickly but puts a lot of light out for such a small sized package. It has a decent aluminum SMO reflector so it has a surprising amount of throw for such a tiny pocket light. I try to run it in short bursts only since it gets so hot and I'm sure that DD isn't good for the cheap DX 10440 I have in it.

I'm looking for the "smallest-brightest" Flashlight with "Wow-Effect" under $ 30. Is the iTP A3 Eos still a favorit (even the upgraded version) ?

One of my custom Micro MiniMags with an XM-L driven at 2A and powered by a 14500 making 700 lumen sent through narrow TIR optics. Able to flood a room or back yard and still hit a tree line 100 yds out.

4sevens Preon WAS my brightest/smallest with R5 and 10440. Too bad 10440 cells are what they are...

Hated it: too stiff to use as twisty, clicky was also crappy.

iTP A3 did it better but oh boy, that low PWM of older version...

Now I have even smaller one but less WOW-factor yet tons of runtime DQG Tiny II

not exactly an EDC light or a tiny light but my UF-2100 is amazingly bright.

As for tiny lights, my iTP A1 is surprisingly bright for a light that small.

N-light B3 / ITP / Maratac [ all AAA ]

The stand out is the N-light B3 - its superbly regulated , and is my go to AAA light .

I really think the beam profile of the ITP A3 is one of the best in it's class .

If you're into that sort of thing .

What about the Tank007 TK-703?

Based on what you guys think, I'm going to order the ITP A3. I just have to find the best price.. Edit, maybe the A1???

The Tank E09 looks it could be in the running soon. It seems it handles 10440's too.

However the new Xtar WK21 looks like it may dwarf everything.

For under $20, the ITP A3 with 10440 is pretty hard to beat size/output/price wise.

You'll love it Glen. http://www.shiningbeam.com has some stock left.

I got mine from him. Good seller and stands behind his stuff.

I have the 1-mode which is even smaller than the multimoded one.

I actually ordered one from them last week. I like my iTP A1 but I wanted an A3 because it's even smaller. And the fact that it uses AAA batteries which is a big advantage if you are going to travel with the light. I plan on using the A1 as my EDC at home and then taking the A3 as my EDC when I travel.

Also , the A3 clip can be reversed and clipped to the bill of a hat for a dandy headlamp .

I have a modded solitaire, 1c tint xpg direct drive off of 10440. Pulls 1.7 amps then settles to 1.55 or so. Just a wow light as it gets hot fast. Also have a single rcr123 that pulls 3.4 amps with an xml. Can actually use this for a little while before it gets hot. Has a great beam profile to, more throw than what you would think.

The ITP A3 is one of those lights that everyone should own. Pretty impressive on alkaline & Nimh's but last week I jumped it up to a 10440 and really like it.

Mine is the Stainless "Upgraded" version

My romisen Rc-G2 modded with an xml. draws near 3A on a 14500 :S yikes. but its even brighter than my xeno E03 xml on 14500. a fun short-use pocket rocket.
