*3/13 Update the Review is in!* G700 "Chip In Fund"

That is an excellent idea!

Count me in for a $5.00 contribution.

MtnE is out of stock of S2+ unfortunately.

Richard told me that there are Convoys on the way.

Anything happening here?

all this does is get a review out in the wild for the spiders to index.might save someone else the disappointment and danger(of the shitfire batteries)
our little contribution to the flashlight world.
btw i “won” one of these for $1.99 shipped.
it is what it appears to be.
a cheap n nasty $1.99 zoomie.with incendiary bomblets on the side.
a bit of tightening here and heatsink compound there and a bit of superlube made it useful.its in my neighbors toolbox now.
this one came in the same case with “anlook” ultrafire copies.same recycled junk.
this light had no markings other than the typical zoomie marks on the head they all have.
edit batteries are anlook.

yes it is.
but they are really “alonefire”
in an emergency you will be alone and on fire due to these crap batteries!

Sorry for not updating my post. I’ve been working nonstop all last week, and weekend, so I haven’t had a chance to do anything with this yet.

I’m going to reach out to a few users this week who have the g700, and see if we can borrow their lights for a week or two for a review. I figured a gift card to Mountain Electronics would be fair compensation for letting us borrow the lights for the review.

That way these scammers don’t get any more money, everyone gets their lights back, and we can still get a review done. How about that?

I saw a few reviews… if you can call them that, on YouTube this past weekend.

I was disgusted by what I saw. Guys extolling it’s virtues, basically using the scam emails and web ads as a script… and yet, the beam looked unremarkable. Good flood, of course, its’ aspheric. But overall lumen and candela output, poor.

There was one guy who bought three… annoyed me to no end when he kept calling the LED emitter a “bulb”. I can’t stand that.

About as bad as the guy who pronounced Fenix as “fenn-icks”.

Sounds like a plan.

At your leisure, please PM me with billing details for my contribution.

Until Fenix learns how to spell Phoenix correctly, I’ll keep calling “Fenn-icks”… lol

This isn't much better from Fasttech. There's a few over priced kit models with this one at $67:

They only go up to G90 though, haven't reached the G700 pinnacle yet Smile.

^ Watched that video…. it’s a joke of a demonstration. It clearly is not any different than any other aspheric zooming light. Nothing at all like the doctored up and fake images in the advertisements. The guy using the light in the video handles it as if it is some super dangerous weapon. Not impressed.

It’s a decent flood light, that’s really about all. And worth $6.99 on the slow boat from China.

i will look and see if i can borrow this light for shipment to a reviewer.
going to feel weird printing postage in excess of what it cost shipped from china to ship it to someone in the usa!
but a virgin sample should be reviewed.this one is tainted with my improvements.

How about a sign-up list for users who would review this, then forward it along to the next one on the list? See if we can swamp youtube with unbiased reviews regarding this lights abysmal performance. The packet could contain the G700 and the $6 generic model, to do a side-by-side comparison review.

This is an even better idea!

I like that idea! The problem is going to be shipping and if people want “compensation” for doing the review or not. I’d love to see a dozen reviews on the light from users on BLF, but everyone is going to have to agree to pay their own shipping to the next person on the list.

Within the US, shipping shouldn’t be an issue. I wouldn’t mind spending a few dollars to ship a light along after a brief review if it helps get word out on the street to warn potential buyers away.

Once it’s been through the channels here, maybe the light could be shipped to a European POC who could then start the process overseas.

Unfortunately, the widespread marketing of this scam is working… I work with several uninitiated flashaholics who have asked me about this light, based on the Ads they are seeing online. I’ve pointed several of them to this forum, and showed them the actual light that is being advertised. Fortunately, I’m not aware of any who have actually purchased this light.

Nicron? Is that supposed to fool Nitecore buyers? I’d expect to see that name on a camera in an anime.
