Review TrustFire TR-3T6 Triple XM-L T6 5-Modes Memory LED Flashlight (3x18650)

Hello all,

today somebody gives me to repair this flashlight. he can't change between the modes. everytime runs at low modes.could somebody tell me how can i change modes?

i see on flashlight 3600 lumen.....i would like to try it with a SR90 and TM11 let's what is better:)

thank you for help.

make sure its the same light it should say 3800 TR-3T6

there are a few ways to change modes

1 charge batteries and check voltage with DMM

2 click the on off button half press

3 quick fast pressing

makes sure the extention tubes are on correct or it will jam on the inside of the switch and will not let you turn on or off and change modes or buy a new driver found here

Man this thing is awesome, thanks Benckie for starting this thread and selling me on this light.

You sold me on this light (in this review) and it is just about perfect .

I would prefer if it was more of a throw,(my 501b will throw almost as well at distance).

But this thing is a Sunburn at a close distance, and will light up a large area.

Very solid build, excellent deep threading, dual O rings on all threads.

Much like a Mag light as a blunt force tool, good and solid, and seriously blinding bright light within 20 ft or so.

Its much more solid, and blinding bright than I thought it would be.

The Pill head threads into body, but most of the weight of head/heatsink is just floating, and might be improved by seating the pill tighter to the body maybe.

I ran mine with 2 x 18650s and was an instant sunburn/blinding at close distance, and lasted about an hour + on high, with plenty of power left over, got warm after a while.

A really sweet light, very well machined/solid and bright as hell.

Everyone should have a real bright flashlight !

This sucker will burn your retina , and a very solid nut cracker if needed .

Highly recommended !

I’m glad you like it, I love mine as you say sun burn up close and it will hurt your eyes, some times I forget to knock it to medium or low when walking in to the wood shed the reflection of the tin on the 3 sides burns my eyes Lols any way great flash light that will do looong runs with out cooking it’s self and ithas a really solid driver the only thing I don’t like is the flashy modes. Thanks for the feed back

Is the finish on your bezel not as flat as the rest of the flashlight? Other than the disco modes, it's my only complaint..

Ordered Tr3t6 (3*18650) from Manafont ,donno when gonna receive the beast ,I have a bad experience with Tr-1200 from Dx cuz the Driver was underpowered(700mAh with 3*18650) & thatsy returned it & got the refund with return shipping fee, this my first purchase from Manafont,so little bit worried, they charged $2 for registered mail.

This one is more flood, less throw and should give about 1600 lumens.

Maybe a bit more OTF lumens IMO but I don’t think it will match the throw of the TK70 but the TR-3T6 is much cheaper
@ atbglenn mines really close

You're right, bit more... 1626 measured lumens in one Finnish flashlight store :D

They also measured 21k lux@1m.

Lolls well atlest I was right lolls but I honestly I thought the out put with buck boost would be higher on the genuine TR-3T6 with the 3 LEDs driven at 2.5 amps pluss

My experience w 2 lights is that these are 1300 lumens OTF as compared to tk70 which reads 2150 OTF. 13k cd before correction. (Add 10%). Purchased frm lightmalls & manafont

Thanks M3TAL_L0RD,Benkie & 2100 for the update,

So it seems to me that it has same lumens count as Tr-X6,yes I know it is also a thrower but costs approx $80 more, runtimes perhaps are same imho.

So guys is there any feasible way to convert temporarily to throw and and back to flood with convenience & DIY ?

Hi all,

Could someone please tell me if this looks like a genuine Trustfire 3T6 and if it's worth buying from?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/TrustFire-CREE-XM-L-3800l-3-T6-LED-5-Mode-Flashlight-Torch-18650-CH-CAR-charger-/270822064021?pt=US_Flashlights&hash=item3f0e40bf95

Thanks

It seems like there're many owners of this TR-3T6, could someone please be kind enough to take some outside beamshots and compare it to some well-known brands such as Fenix/Olight/Surefire (side by side if possible) so we can see relatively how bright it is? Thanks.

the geniune TR-3T6 when the battery voltage under load drops to low the light goes into low mode only letting you know its time for a battery recharge i consider this as a low voltage protection, the geniune TR-1200 does the same thing.

OK, today arrived one from eBay, from “minglo2010-88”, it is GENIUNE and came with an extension tube for use with 3x18650!

I just won another auction for this TrustFire 3T6 from this seller for only USD40.00 incl.Shipping! (it says already shipped, but tracking number doesn't work for now... i'll wait a few days, but the first TR-3T6 arrived OK)

That's good news. Do they sell any 3 x 18650's as that's the one to get.

I don't know if post it here or on a new thread... Please let me know and I'll create a new one.

I want to install THIS DRIVER to the TR-3T6, with 3 batteries it will be between 2.8A and 3.0A on the LEDs, would this be a good mod?

One thing to remember the driver in the genuine TR-3T6's is buck plus boost with CC in my opinion the led's are getting that or dam close to that already, so personally I don't see the need for a driver swap as the standard one is realy good.

Yes… that’s true, it works OK with 2 or 3 batteries… I have to measure the current through the LEDs first to be sure. The “replacement” driver is a a little smaller, but it can be adapted.
